Roast My Landing Page

My CTO and I are working on our landing page and want feedback so we can make changes to the landing page prior to going live with it. Feel free to roast it by giving us critical feedback.

P.S: Don't be a jerk, just be professionally honest.

Congratulations on putting in so much work. The site looks beautiful and I enjoy being able to quickly see clear steps involved in signing up and getting started. Honestly, I hope my next landing page will be this straightforward.

    A few (hopefully quick) things:

    1. I'm still not 100% sure if Jem is partly a dating app (I'm 99.9% sure it is not). At first I thought so because it said "Looks like dating, more like networking" where "more like" was confusing. I immediately turned away because the idea of either signing up for a dating app (I'm married), or trying to network with people that are using "networking" as a pretense to date (gross) is not for me.

    2. I think it might be worth removing the copy/photo for step 4. My thought was "This is simple: Sign up... make a profile... find people to connect with........ pay to actually connect because people won't notice me........ connect." I think the paying section is optional, and if Jem works as intended, I won't have to buy anyone a coffee because Jem will make connecting incredibly easy and useful. (Sorry if I'm misunderstanding this section.)

    3. The final section of the site "Connecting shouldn't be so hard. We got you." seems to be a more clear elevator pitch (from my perspective).

    4. Just wanted to add to me "connecting" is a bit ambiguous and might involve dating and "networking" is a term that is more clear in a lot of cases.

    5. I'm not sure what type of creators Jem is for, specifically. The "Emily" photo is step 3 says Emily is a UI/UX designer, but the rest of the photos and the mock conversation seem to involve photographers and models.

This was incredibly helpful. Thank you so much, we will be making these changes.
