🔥 Roast my landing page

I have been building shrt.cat for the past few months and I would really love to get some feedback on the landing page and the project in general.

Shrtcat is a service that allows you to create links which can only be accessed by your Twitter followers. In this way, you have available a members-only platform for your Twitter audience.

I will be sharing my journey building shrt.cat on my Twitter account @PereAyats.

It looks interesting. I can see two segments from your offering.

Segment 1: Helps increasing primarily follower to twitter users.

Segment 2: Second part competes with Gumroad. Helping someone who is either selling eBooks or Courses.

Segment 3: [Far Fetched] Helping brands with lead generation ads. With help of eBooks or Whitepaper.

You need to decide which segment you're targeting to optimize your landing page. I've re-writtern hero section of your home page. Targeting only segment 1.

    Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vI1SUOvzt3N5QR7H5IX8RueuU2_mNVnj/view?usp=sharing

    Change 1:
Title: Clearly added, increasing twitter followers as value prop.
Subtext: Added how and what in subtext.

    Experiment:
Call To Action: Asking for twitter handle instead of email address. Asking for email address on popup or signup page.

Thank you so much for your reply!! I really like the segments that you have drawn for shrtcat. For the Segment 2, it would specifically target users that want to sell ebooks, courses... to their Twitter audience. However, you wouldn't see possible to combine Segment 1 and 2 without losing the concreteness of the service?

What's your existing conversion rate? If it's according to industry standard then, idea of combining two segments is fine.

If you want to know what works better. We can always A/B test. Let me know if you need any help in setting up hypothesis. I am currently looking for free POC for A/B testing experiments.

Page looks nice and clean, easy to understand what the aim is. I must admit that when I first saw the url I thought it said "shit.cat".

Any thoughts on free / paid tiers?

It would be kinda funny that my startup name was shit.cat hahah. I’m still considering how I will distribute the pricing. Any ideas? Thanks for the reply!!

Off the top of my head, and haven't thought through it much, perhaps a free plan that shows a sponsored message (controlled by you rather than crap Carbon ads) before redirecting to the destination site. First 10 visitors via link don't get an ad but the rest do (might be a bit more complex).

Then a basic plan for a couple of currency of choice a month for the direct visit links, with a quota of X ad free links a month (ad free for all visitors to that link). Anything over quota gets an ad.

That way smaller creation of links would be cheaper and those with a higher link creation count can have a better plan or 'opt' for X most recent links to be ad free but the older links would then have an ad shown as might be less active.

Balance between growth for free but upsell levels for those that are able to and want a better inbound visitor experience.

That's a very interesting approach. My initial idea was to offer a free plan with one free link without any stats/metrics and two paid plans with X links and more detailed stats (higher number of links for the most expensive paid plan). But your idea could bring more conversions now that I think about it.
