Roast my landing page for GetKudos

https://getkudos.io/

I was inspired by other posts in this forum sharing their landing page and getting usable feedback. Please let me know your thoughts. I'm intentionally leaving the description out from here to see if you are able to tell from the landing page.

Let the comments come in!

Really like the concept! My thoughts are see if you can add a screenshots (at least one each) for the collect and dashboard bullets and fewer fake testimonial examples.

Valid feedback. I'll work on this. Thanks!

Just deployed the new version with the real kudoboard (testimonial page) and other minor updates. Please let me know what you think!

Only saw it the mobile version but looks great, quickly understood what it was, would be great if you had a screenshot of the actual kudoboard.

Also, maybe instead of XYZ company, just put a fake company name?

Thank you for the feedback. I just replaced the fake testimonials with an actual screenshot of what a kudoboard would look like.

    Here are my suggestions

    1. Hero image is too big, it is taking away all the attention
    2. Love the headline copy, addressing the pain point and explaining how get kudos helps. But, You can increase the headline size. It is small.
    3. CTA is not standing out.
    4. Get your own kudoboard looks a little bit weird due to all the fake photos and name. Either remove it or say that is a demo.

    All the best man 🤗

      Excellent Feedback!
Changed the hero image. Added screenshot of an actual kudoboard instead of the fake testimonials. Brainstorming on other feedback since those are more nuanced.

This reminds me of Orkut testimonials in early 2000s :)
We all were in college and craving for testimonials on our profile page!

Haha yes. You triggered nostalgia and also a potential extension of this product

I'm assuming this is an MVP. For an mvp,
    overall, I like it.

You can still make some improvement though.

CTA is not standing out enough. Can make it bigger. (on phone screen)

Use realistic names and feedback text on those sample feedbacks.

Thanks for the feedback! This is the landing page to understand user interest. MVP is launching in September.

Lighthearted not being mean just saying what i am seeing
Oh GetKudos, did you run out of budget before hiring a designer? This page is drier than day-old toast. 😴

That giant stock photo makes me want to snooze more than a sleeping pill. Give me something interesting to look at!

Not gonna lie, those testimonials seem more fake than a $3 bill. "XYZ Company is the best ever!" Riiiiight. 🙄

Also, that is the world's tiniest FAQ section. Four questions? You gotta pump those numbers up!

The color scheme is beige on beige on beige. Who picked these yawnsville hues - an accountant?? 🌫️

And what's with the giant "Join Waitlist" button 3 times on one page? We get it, you're desperate for sign ups. Calm down! 🙏

Look, I admire the minimalism you're going for. But this is just sadness in webpage form. Where's the sizzle? The pizzazz?

Maybe the product is rad, but this marketing makes me think you're as boring as watching paint dry. 💤

Overall, this page is flatter than week-old soda. Inject some personality and excitement into it asap! Then give me a shout. 🥤
Overall this is a site that has a lot of potential and commend your effort

Thanks for taking the time to write the feedback. I have taken notes and will work on it. I enjoyed the sarcasm and laughed out loud as if this was somebody else's landing page :D

    Hi there!

I looked at your landing page and have a few comments:

    1. You should use your own product on it. Instead of 9 placeholders repeating "We've tried other SEO agencies in the past, but XYZ SEO Company stands out...", why don't you use real testimonials? If you don't have any yet, fake it until you make it.

    2. I found 2 pieces of information missing: the price (or if it's free, I'd like to know), and whether no-code platforms are supported. Most people build landing pages with tools like webflow or unicornplatform, so it's critical to know if there is support for them (or if it's coming soon).

    Good luck with the launch!

Both valid feedback! We'll work on it. Thank you so much!

Hey there, returning the favor and reviewing your landing page:
First, I think the value of this product makes sense. Good job overall.

    Some comments:

    1. "We provide simple and easy-to-follow instructions to seamlessly embed your kudoboard onto your website." - I think this is key, it's not super clear how to integrate from the homepage. I think it's pretty easy to just add kudos to your website for free (create a bootstrap carousel or similar, upload customer images and link to tweets yourself) so it might be worth showing how much easier this product is vs. just throwing together something quickly using whatever javascript/css framework.

    2. I would change the font being used. The one you're currently using seems slightly "unprofessional" - not too bad, but I might suggest something other than Arial. It may be that your font isn't loading?

    3. Testimonials don't look like they're filled out completely and "100+ businesses" - which businesses are these? I've been struggling with this too since I'm pre-launch and honestly don't have any social proof so I get it, but it may make sense to remove this wording until you can prove your statement.

Thanks for taking the time to write the detailed feedback. I'll review those deeply with my partner. For now here are my thoughts:

      1. We're working on a "How it Works" page that should make this a bit more clear. The other feedback of custom code vs getkudos is legit and we'll add it to the FAQs when we get to MVP stage.
      2. The font we're using is "Poppins, sans-serif". Is that what you see when you Inspect it?
      3. The testimonials we have are placeholders to show how they will look on your website but I get that it is confusing due to not explaining it well. I discussed replacing that with the screen shot of our "kudoboard" we're building. By "100+ businesses" I meant we have 100+ people in our waitlist. Do you suggest any other wording to make it more clear?
      1. 1
        1. Cool.
        2. Yes, it's definitely there in the source code, but that's not the font being applied visually. I think you just need to host the font on your server as it's not rendering properly for me (everything is just defaulting to Arial on windows 11)
        3. That makes sense - if you truly have 100+ unique businesses on your waitlist then I think it's fair to list it. Maybe include some of the company logos if they're comfortable with that.
