Roast my landing page for my just launched app

I do not want to add more information, since I want you to be blank at the following landing page:

https://segro.app/

Please tell me your first thoughts - there is no being rude or an asshole.
Literally all feedback is helpful to me!

the site won't load for me for some reason :(

    1. 1

Wow, I haven't heard this before. Thank you so much for noticing! I will take a look why it is not loading. I will leave you a message if I updated it!

Anyways, thank you for taking the time to navigate to the website and leaving the comment!

    Here is my feedback:

    1. The site does take some time to load.
    2. Remove "Dark theme" from the features because from the images it looks like its the default.
    3. What does "Future foresight" mean or do?
    4. I think more text is needed. For instance, the feature "calendar insights" needs to be explained or demonstrated. It is not obvious.
    5. The site does not mention the product's USP.
    6. If your approach is to show rather then tell, consider including a video of the product
    7. The "insights" image is not clear. I cannot see the details shown.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for the feedback!

Every point you mentioned is very helpful. Maybe I need to show the light theme by default to make the dark theme feel more premium.

I definitely need to optimise the features, and the overall benefit. I will do some research today how I can best display this.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give me this feedback! This means a lot to me, I didn't expect this many people giving feedback that is invaluable to me!

Hey Justin, good to see you've launched!
I have a couple of Qs:

    • Why should I try your app? What's the advantage?
    • Who else tried this app....and did it work for them?
    • I m a newb but I wanna still lose old habits, how do I get started, do you suggest some bad habits to eliminate automagically?

    -thnks

Hey, thank you very much for you comment!

Those are very good questions. I can definitely be more clear on the benefits of the app. Something like testimonials will also be a very good idea to add.

"I m a newb but I wanna still lose old habits, how do I get started, do you suggest some bad habits to eliminate automagically?"

      • Actually, this improvement comes from continuous self reflection and setting goals with the insights from the app. But that is definitely NOT clear at this version of the landing page! This feedback is very valuable, and I will definitely put more attention to the HOW, the process to get to the end result.

Thank you very much for taking the time, I am overwhelmed by the comments and I am actually very happy that these flaws get visible so I can create a better product!

    Congrats on the launch!

Like others said here, I didn't get the product idea immediately. Maybe a few more lines of explanation above the fold would be helpful (then again, I don't know much websites acts as inbound channel for mobile apps). Also, you should upload the screenshots you have on the website to your app store listing!

I'm actually interested in the idea, tried writing down what I did each hour on paper before but never stuck with it. Do you have a newsletter you could link on your website, for interested Android users like me? :)

Thank you very much, I'm very happy!

"I didn't get the product idea immediately"

      • Definitely a point I need to optimise!

"Also, you should upload the screenshots you have on the website to your app store listing!"

      • I should definitely optimise this

"I'm actually interested in the idea, tried writing down what I did each hour on paper before but never stuck with it."

      • That's so good to hear! I will add a newsletter option for sure!

Hey Justin - congrats on the launch🎉

Viewing from the desktop. Comments that pop into my head:

    • Very nicely done site in terms of style. Very sleek and professional. I think it vibes with well with your brand.

    • I sort of get the gist of what Segro is, but not really. Some more info above the fold would help, i.e., a subheading under your main heading text.

    • I'm not sure how it works. Is it a new calender system that I need to set up? Or does it work alongside existing calenders?

    • Need more detail on what the features are. Maybe follow a framework like FAB (Features, Advantages, Benefits) or similar when talking about what your product has.

    Good luck ✌

Thank you, I am very happy with the launch and even more of the feedback I get from this community.

"I sort of get the gist of what Segro is, but not really. Some more info above the fold would help, i.e., a subheading under your main heading text."

      • Very good advice, I will definitely do that!

"I'm not sure how it works. Is it a new calender system that I need to set up? Or does it work alongside existing calenders?"

      • Very nice feedback. I hear this multiple times now, I definitely need to clarify this more!

"Need more detail on what the features are. Maybe follow a framework like FAB (Features, Advantages, Benefits) or similar when talking about what your product has."

      • That is a very good suggestion. I'm not sure yet how I want to visualise this in a minimalistic way. I will take a look at the FAB framework (I wasn't familiair with it yet)

Thank you for taking your time to give this feedback.

Hi @JustinFransen I get the idea of the product.
The first thing that I wanted to do when I viewed the site on my mobile was to zoom-in on the first image so I can see the product better, but zoom doesn't work.
Also the low contrast on the category labels made it hard for me to read .

Regarding the product itself - for me replacing the entire calendar app or service that I use just for the insights is not something I'd do. I think that instead of making people change their habits/tools/processes you should integrate with them. I.e. If you could give me insights on my Google calendar - that'd be interesting. I already have multiple calendars (private, work, family-shared). If for example you'd tell me to use color-coding for the different categories and then you could aggregate by color - it will combine with tools that I already use.

Regarding the page itself - I like the clean design, but it feels a little too empty.
The 3 steps - maybe turn them into cards, and don't hide the "tooltip". It's not accessible approach, and most people would miss it. I'd try title and paragraph on each card.

Im also missing HOW will this help me to stop bad habits. Just knowing isn't enough. I guess setting goals is important. If I don't have enough sports events in my calendar, maybe you should suggest to add. E.g. send me push notification with suggestion.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Actually, the app is exactly what you say: a companion to the calendar app you already use!

"I already have multiple calendars (private, work, family-shared)"
This is exactly how the app will show you the insights

Thank you very much for this feedback. I focused on WHY in every aspect, but I lacked the HOW here: by using the calendar you already use.

The how to stop the bad habits is also a very good idea in terms of goals etc. Currently, I use it for goals that are just inside my head. I should definitely make a place somewhere in the app where you can set goals. Thanks! The push notifications is also a very good idea!

Thank you so much, I cannot say enough how much I appreciate this feedback!
