Hi indies 👋,
Long time, no see. After being a lurker on the group for the longest time, it’s time for me to get roasted ☕️.
My partner in crime and I are building Adflow, an AI platform that generates copy and creatives for digital ads. Think of it as copy.ai – built for ads, not for general purpose marketing copy. I spent 3 years working in digital advertisement at Google, and saw the industry make tremendous advancements in bidding and targeting automation. Yet, the most most impactful – and tedious – part of any digital advertisement campaign is still in the hands of us humans. We have to spend hours writing converting copy and finding eye-catching images. For EVERY campaign we create (for context, a single Ad on Google should have at least 3 headlines and 2 descriptions).
Adflow is our answer to that problem, and I’d love to get feedback on our first landing for the product.
We are still honing in on product-market fit. That’s why your feedback matters. ⭐️ We want to get the product in the hands of as many users as possible, starting from those who can most benefit from it. If you join the waitlist now, you’ll get 30% discount on Adflow when we launch. But that’s not all!
Leave a detailed, constructive feedback on our landing page here on IH, and we’ll give you free access to our beta by the end of the month!
I can’t tell you how much I learned from all of you gurus just by looking at the comments you are leaving on others’ landings. That’s the power of this community. I did my best to apply your teachings to Adflow’s landing page. This doesn’t mean I’m looking for positive feedback only (quite the opposite, in fact!), yet I want to share some of my insights:
User interactions: Web pages should be fun and interesting, so that the user would stay on it for long and that they would get to the “wow” moment even before getting to the platform. That’s what the interactive demo is for.
Testimonials: We have had friends and colleagues try out the product. Blink (accelerated by Techstars) was particularly helpful in its early feedback. Want to be next on our page? We'd like at least 1 customer story form each of 3 target audiences (startups, marketers, agencies). Does it sound like you? Please reach out.
SEO: For once, we undertook the effort from the get go. SEO pays off in the long term. We also worked with structured data on the FAQs and on Open Graph images (your website should look great when you share it so that others will want to visit it too!)
Analytics: We didn’t want to bloat the website with any unnecessary client-side js. We decided to use the amazing Splitbee for the landing. It’s enough for basic attribution and CRM automation. Our studio (the app) will use more complex analytics and log reporting (Sentry, Amplitude, Analytics – the usual blend), we just didn’t feel like we needed that for now.
So, what do you think? Let’s hang out in the comments 👇.
Hi Lorenzo, here's some feedback in a video for you:

very nice video @nscalice
Thanks!
@nscalice I was really hoping you'd show up.
Let me just say you rock. All of your points were definitely hitting the mark and we are going to incorporate most of the feedback in the next few days.
I'm glad you are familiar with some of the competitors in the space. Let me clarify our comparative positioning: we don't want to support as many use cases as copy.ai / conversion.ai, but we want to own the few that are related to advertisement.
That means going beyond just copy (creatives contribute to as much as ~70% of conversion yet very few people spend considerable time on those), and working on direct integrations.
It might be inappropriate for me to ask, but is there any way we can give back to you? We'd happily buy you a coffee mate. ☕️
That sounds great! And yeah, I like how you're differentiating from the others which seem to be one-size-fits-all products.
No need to give back, but I would love to try the beta when it's ready!
Absolutely, you have earned a VIP pass ✨
No one mentioned anything about your footer - funnily enough there's literally NOTHING in your footer that adds 'trustworthiness' to your business. Maybe spend 1 day create some content for your footer:
-Terms of Service? and all that GDPR stuff!
Good luck e Forza Italia!
The new, richer, footer is now live on adflow.ai. Thanks again for the tip!
We are now rolling out our next batch of invites – feel free to sign-up on the landing and I'll be happy to honor my word by adding you to the free private beta 😃
That's right, the footer was admittedly very "minimal" (i.e. content poor). We'll work on that, thanks for pointing that out!
🇮🇹
Very nice product proposition.
When you say simplest, what’s the benchmark or how “simple” can a user feel?
Like the quick demo below and it’s a great use of landing page like this.
It would be great to see some immediate examples of ads.
Also curious how would you measure the success of the product?
Adding to what @signorettif was saying, your insights were immediately actionable. We mixed those with @nscalice feedback and we revamped the landing, to make what I would consider sizeable improvements.
As mentioned, we are rolling out invites to our free private beta and I'd be glad to let you access the tool if you wanted to take it for a spin in exchange for your help. Just sign up on the landing and I'll reach out to give you immediate access.
Now it's back working on the platform 💪.
I think there might be a bug with your waitlist form. It doesn't seem to be responding when someone types in an email address, although I do get the email confirmation... but I got like 9 of them because I kept trying the form, thinking it wasn't working. lol
Thanks fro pointing this out. A fix is now live in production on the landing.
Let me jump in on behalf of the amazing @lorenzosignoretti.
We consider simplicity a function of the time and effort required to get to a result that you could use with your customers. That's a function of:
I agree, we'll work something out.
Of course, direct feedback will be always heard and acted upon. Plus, we're letting users flag content they don't appreciate, and we'll keep an eye on the ratio of that to the overall number of prompts we generate.
