I launched a copywriting service last week after 6 weeks in dev mode.
Bristlecone is a niche copywriting service for busy professionals looking to outsource their evergreen content creation.
Looking for feedback on the landing page and overall service. Anything goes, don't hold back and please DO hurt my feelings.
Thank you!
I really like it. It looks good & it is by the books: Name, value proposition, call to action, proof.
I am missing one thing: The action. The call to action is clear, but the button just links to a little lower on the page.
Another small detail: Who is it for? You could fix this maybe with targeting, but it isn't immediately clear to me.
Kind of you to share these insights Sbalen, thank you!
And you're right the audience should also be clearly stated above fold. Will correct.
Cheers!
I like it.
Things I'd change;
Above the fold content. "Get Started" button is half visible makes things unbalanced with the logo, header and sub-header(?).
After reading them all, only thing I remember was "evergreen content" (repeats 8 times) so as long as it doesn't show up in google results. There is no way I can remember the name/brand to come back later.
"Forget the handshake. Let's K.I.S.S." This one put a smile on my face. :)
About the offer;
It confused me, I like to offer unlimited services as well but I know it's unreal.
A 10 day turnaround makes it ~3 articles per month. So "Ongoing Offer" comes with a little extras. Whereas, I can potentially request 10 on-demand content at the same time (via alternative accounts) to prevent queue time.
Additionally, with the latest buzz around the "unlimited services" and its dissatisfied customers. I unintentionally made a quick math, if I request 2 revisions on an article with ongoing plan. I probably need to wait 30 days and pay $900 for an article that I don't know its quality. 🤷♂️
But anyways I'm not in the target audience so these are not so relevant.
Hey Rusted, big thank you for the feedback!
The offer section is by far the most difficult one to nail and I like all of your insights.
You're also right about the unlimited feature being a point of contention. I just read quite a few tweets from unsatisfied customers of a popular unlimited design servicesrecently. Think I might just offer the On-Demand plan and skip the Ongoing.
All in all, thank you for your help!
Pricing is the hardest. I wouldn't suggest a change tho. Play your own game create content around evergreen content, show people some meta examples of how it's done and you are golden.
I like the style and the simplicity. However I looked for examples, there is nothing triggering me to get in touch, you know. Even if I need this service right now, I couldn't convince myself. I can't finish this sentence, "I picked bristlecone, because ..."
I know you didn't ask for advice but 🤷♂️ don't get mad at me for my two cents. Good luck on your journey.
Your two cents are gold to me, so no worries :)
Will work on including examples and testimonials as I grow this along.
Cheers!
