The graphics on your landing page are beautiful! Overall, I really like the design and how clean the page is. I'd love to learn how you made those graphics – I want to make some for my landing page too :)

      Thanks!
It was relatively easy to capture the graphics. They are screenshots from the product :)
I have used Google Chrome's website capture with 4x zoom to capture it larger.
Also I used the inspect method of Chrome to delete unneeded elements and to change the font-family sometimes to BLOKK NEUE.
      Lastly, I used this CSS "trick" to sharpen the images in some browsers: image-rendering: -webkit-optimize-contrast;

      Hope this helps :)

Hello Ruben, great start! I love how the landing page is concise.

    Here’s some feedback:

    1. Headline: call out your audiences more, be more specific, niche down on your audience if you’re starting out. “product owners” sounds too broad and what does “together” mean.

For example: For Start-up founders: Build, Validate and launch a product user feedback.

Of course this can be improved as I’m writing this on the fly. Consider adding quantitative elements. “His start-up founders Build a user-validated product within 30 days”

    1. subheadline: a “sparring buddy” sounds too smart. It’s a great branding message but I might keep it even clearer if this is a brand new product.

For example: ProductLift is an online community tool that lets loyal users provide feedback and ideas for your product.

This could technically be a headline too. And then subheadline focuses on the how

“An online community tool where your biggest potential users give ideas, feedback and validate your product”

    1. More social proof needed. I’m sure while building this, you have your own users. So include their testimonials. (In fact, I believe this tool could help with that too). Alternatively, show case studies in different verticals or job functions Depending on the niche audiences you’re going after..

    2. provide comparison angles or charts. How are you better than the current solutions? Google sheets, Trello, etc. how are you different.

Or If you want to avoid referencing about competitors, then compare the “before and after” scenario of using your product. This shows people that you clearly understand the pain poin and what they are trying to achieve.

But IMO, comparing with other products is much more sellable because High intent users are likely thinking why not just stick to my Trello. When you list the features, turn it into a benefit driven copy. For example, instead of saying prioritization chart, say “Learn which product feature is important within a day”.

    Hope this helps,

take the examples with a pinch of salt because I’m writing it on the fly at 4am. Lol. What’s more important is the “thinking” behind each suggestion.

      Hi Shaunleeweirong,

Took some time, but I have just completely updated the landing page. What do you think about the update?

      Ruben

      Hi Shaunleeweirong,

Thanks a lot for your thorough review!

I agree with all your points. Will make an effort in coming days to update the landing page :)

Do you think a comparison page for each competitor would be worthwhile? I have seen that before.

Btw. I would like social proof too, but don't have users yet 😬

Design-wise I really it, nice and clean. What might need a little tweaking is the text.
From the main title, my first impression was that this some sort of community for building together. Only when I scrolled a bit down, after the 4th picture I understood that this is probably user feedback saas.
Probably like many other people when I go to a website for the first time I usually just quickly skim the content and don't read everything. In the case of your website as I scroll down I first see the picture and then I look at the blue title and then move on to the next section. But I feel like the actual explanation is in the black paragraph under the title, which I don't read. The picture + the blue title don't explain well what the product is about but those are the elements that draw the most attention.

      Hi Catico,

Took some time, but I have just completely updated the landing page. Is the explanation now better? What do you think?

      Ruben

      Hi Catico,

      Thanks for your great reply!
I think there is a pattern in the reviews I am getting, so I need to clarify the text :P
Agree it should be clear very fast what the product is.
Will work on updating the page in coming days :)

    Like the pitch
    Screenshot looks confusing
The rest of the text sounds like your own terminology?..

    1. 1

Hey - Thanks for your feedback! 😍
Can you clarify two points please?

      • The top screenshot looks confusing? Or do all of them look confusing? And is the top one confusing because it contains too much text and info from another product?
      • Own terminology: not sure what you mean with this
      1. 1

        Voting-roadmap-changelog-declined

I think I need a long while to process how are they related and how they relate to your offer, it doesn't immediately jell

"product portal" - what is it? Why do I need one? Do I ? What does it actually mean to me? (Unless it's a common term for your target audience..)

"Lifting your product" - while I get generize and say do something good to it, is it deliberate and meaning full for you?

"Priority metrics" is one of these corporate manager things right?

        Etc

I mean IDK who the target audience is, but consider dumbing it all down, commonly ppl won't stare at it for too long they either get it in 3sec or they are gone

        1. 1

          Thanks for the great comments!

This is an interesting topic. I made the landing page with a specific audience in mind. Now, I am not sure if you would be part of that audience or not. Do you have a digital product that is developed / improved?
Wanted to check your profile but on mobile IH I couldnt open your businesses😅

Main question is: should the landing page be for potential customers without prior knowledge or should it be for the ones that want to compare ProductLift to similar products? 🤔

Example competitors of ProductLift are ProductBoard and Canny(.io) - do you think their site is more clear for you directly?
Main benefit/USP of ProductLift is that it is much more flexible. Something I like when using it for Boei: https://boei.productlift.dev

          1. 1

Canny draws me in and I can't even explain why

This whole sounds like an expension to "getsatisfaction" which I like, due they seemed outrageously priced

You need to decide if you go wide or hone down on a specific customer persona which might be more effective but you should be explicit about that

It's not to say I don't know what your talking about entirely
But I think if I'd have to rank understanbility of the page
For one who doesn't know the Nich and competitors
            2/10
For one who comes from competitors
            4/10

That's my personal opinion which might be highly invalid

            1. 1

Maybe I should put it differently it's not if I can understand your page
It's how much effort is it to understand that I think needs improving if that makes any sense

              1. 1

                Hi Hatkyinc,

Took some time, but I have just completely updated the landing page. Do you think it is better now? Hope to get your feedback :)

                Ruben

                1. 1

                  The top is pretty good.

Have feature-focussed conversations to further develop specs

This could use an iteration to simplify
can just have "Have feature-focussed conversations" or "Plan features with your customers"... "Go deeper on a feature request"

Or maybe just remove this section, it's kinda expected to continue conversations...

"Vote on behalf" this for example is nice and could be put in place if needed

                  Overall very clear, nicely done

                  1. 1

Thanks for the feedback and kind words! 💪

I have simplified that line. Would like to keep that section to show the features that are relevant for that item.

                    1. 1

@hatkyinc Sharp - would expect a video as well now I see it here! Have changed the CTA. thanks!

                    2. 1

btw the CTA "See in action in 3 minutes" is a bit misleading, I'd expect like a video..
"Try it in 3 mins or less" would probably be better

              2. 1

Yeah I understand. General comment here is to clarify the text, so you have seen that very well :)
Will work on updating the page in coming days!
