After missing my flight to Venice today and a cascade of things that were attached to being in Italy right now, I decided to kill some time and revamped the entire landing page of my newest SaaS project Watchwork.co
I am Gabriel, a serial founder/hacker/guy who likes to build products. My first web app was a marketplace for finding flatmates. I applied to YC and got rejected obviously .. it was nothing more than an idea and a prototype in dev environment.
What I learned along the way of many projects was, that building a product might be fun, but rarely successful if you don't start with the customer needs first. Today I am giving lectures and seminars on how to build digital products user centric, lately for meta and universities in Germany.
What I notice constantly is that even established companies often completely forgot to start with the user's perspective. And then something weird happened: I churned from a bad executed product that even got funding from YC and all I got was a mail 7 days later claiming that the product I just churned from because of so many reasons was the best in the market...
What shocked me was that nobody asked me about my feedback. As a product developer/designer/coder I would have loved to give feedback on some of the flaws.
While churn is a really big problem for SaaS companies, so few of them actively iterate on their user's thoughts.
Enough talking: Please give me feedback on www.watchwork.co! What do you think of the product, what is missing on the landing page, have you made similar experiences like me?
Feedback is really much appreciated
