Roast my newsletter landing page before I launch!

I want to make sure that the message is clear and people feel like they will get valuable emails from it.

Nice domain name! I like the look and feel. The animation is subtle and non-distracting.
What's up with the Author link up at the top right of the page? I'd get rid of it.
Signing up produces an error from emailoctupus - missing or invalid fields
I'd change the email address at the bottom to a copyright message. You don't want to provide a clickable exit other than your call to action.
I'd also get rid of the zerotofrontend.dev logo in the upperleft corner. It's distracting and I already know where I'm at.

I think the messaging is a little mixed:
My journey to become a front end developer starts here.
If I'm starting at zero, I don't know what tools and resources are or what they would be used for.
You say I'll get the latest news on frontend development, but I don't want news, I want to become a frontend developer. Don't I? How will giving you my email address help with that?
Updates and features? Updates to what? Features of what? A newsletter?

Speak to me, the reader, as if I have zero development experience. Talk to me about the benefits I'll get by subscribing that will get me up to speed quickly on how to start developing things right away. Talk to me about how I'll feel seeing my first programs running. Talk to me about the technologies I'll be using and how I'll be able to understand what seasoned developers are saying. Show me through words a mirror showing me my future self as a developer.
Good luck and don't forget to have fun!

Thanks for telling me about the error! I must have broken it in one of the latest updates.

Also thanks for all the feedback I will do another iteration tomorrow and try to be clearer I think you're right.

When I click on jump in, it opens a new tab. can't it be a simple popup on the same page and that's it. The new tab took long to open.

There may be a technical reason but I would recommend moving the subscription form field to the first page. You have peoples attention, fewer clicks for them to do what you want will improve your conversion rate.

That's definitely on my backlog. It was there at first, but I moved to substack because Email Octopus was giving me errors all the time and I haven't found a way to implement that with substack. I might have to find another provider 😅. Thank god I'm only on soft-launch sharing it on smaller communities.

Thank you for your feedback !
