Roast my product idea please
Hello everyone,
I had posted my product Knowhup some time ago.
I got lots of terrific feedback on the idea but not as many signups as I had expected. Some people suggested that my content could be better. So I have updated the website.
This product was born out of my need, so I'm sure other people will benefit from it as well.

Is your issue getting traffic to the page or is it getting conversions once users are on the page? New websites generally won't have great seo so make sure you follow best practices to speed things along.

Not sure I fully understand the product or why I need it. The video was a bit fast paced and didn't give a good demonstration of the product. Maybe try get someone on fiver to do you up a video if you don't have great editing skills?
Would be cool if you could add a demo area for people to access to get a better idea of what the product is.
I take it you built the website yourself with bootstrap? If so might I suggest using Divi, a WordPress website builder. Would be better to go with this at the start because it is easier and quicker to design a professional looking website. They also have loads of great templates that you can use.

My issue is getting conversions. I want to understand 2 things:
a) Whether the website explains what exactly the product is
b) Whether the product is solving a serious enough pain point for developers.
Thanks to all you wonderful people here, I've understood that the website needs improvement. I'll check out Divi. The video needs to be in more detail as well. Your suggestion of Fiverr seems like a good idea.
I'm in the process of creating a live demo and an MVP which people will be able to try out.
It should be ready early next month.

I'm not a developer so maybe I'm missing some vital know-how, but the page to me doesn't really communicate what the product does for me.
Sure it has a list of features but why should I care, whats the value proposition? How is your product going to make my life easier?
The product video felt unprofessional to me, the music was too high energy and I wanted to turn it off after 20 seconds, and the example didn't really illustrate what I'd use the product for. It also autoplayed which is a major turn off.
I always have a negative reaction to the word 'secret', there are so many contreprenuers out there trying to sell 'secrets', it immediately puts my mind to something that sounds too good to be true.
Why would you ask someone to sign up to your MVP? Call it a beta or a prerelease or something, I don't need to know that this an MVP.
I will say that the product looks pretty neat, but your landing page is a major turn off, if I had landed on this page cold I am pretty sure I would have bounced very quickly.

The product video was quickly created in iMovie by me (zero video editing skills). I guess you're right - a more professional product video will help.
I'll change 'MVP' to 'Early Access'. It's not yet in beta, and prerelease sounds a bit vague to me.
