if the api data is publicly available, i'm not sure if there will be a big demand for this. Downloading the data and putting it in a database would be a pretty simple task and much cheaper and performant solution. So my question is, who's your target customers?
Some datasets are available publicly like census, but not everything, zip codes are not a a public dataset, we subscribe to the usps data feed for it, that feed is incomplete for what I'm trying to build, it's missing friendly names, lat long, geographic hierarchies, statistics, fips codes etc. If you don't want to deal with maintaining these datasets, then this API is for you. marketing firms, logistic companies, travel companies, use this data a lot.
There is no clear hierarchy that tells me what to look at in what order. The features and benefits are unclear. The ultimate feeling is confusion.
The design does not inspire confidence, which makes me doubt the product.
If you cant afford to hire a designer, try reading the non-designers design book - it will teach you a few basics at minimum.
yes, design is not my strength. trying to balance out the amount of time i spent on design. will take a look at the book you recommend.
## General
Is this really a landing page? It looks more like a company website product page.
What exactly do you think a landing page is? Just to be sure that we are in the page.
To me a landing page is a webpage separate from your company website. Where you drive leads from a marketing campaign too.
As a landing page this fails as its too messy.
And for it to be successful landing page. I would need to know how what marketing campaign are you doing. Who exactly you are targeting. What stage of awareness are they in. Then you make copy optimize for that audience
## Nav
Too many options.
If this was an actual landing page.
I'd remove everything but the logo
## Hero
-the headline is clear but wasted. If there many zip code apis why should the developers use this?
## Features
what's with the weird alignment of text?
it makes it harder to read
stick with left aligned for most text.
## End points
Good
## Pricing
center it
why do the all the heading have a blue color background? Pick one tier to prioritize and keep the rest gray. that way you can lead peoples eyes to that 1 tier
Why do you have 2 cta for each tier? Keep it one
## Footer
If this is an actual landing page, i'd remove all the links copyright and privacy
Thanks. It's not a landing page. It's the main product page. Should explain all the capabilities of the API product. I have not run a campaign yet, but thanks for all the feedback provided i think i can tweak this product page a bit and start thinking about a landing page for a marketing campaign after the launch.
There is a down arrow below the initial blurb that doesn't do anything, other than that it looks really good. I think the pricing table should stand out more and be centered and you could remove the 'tiers' caption on it above it. Also I think most times, the 'free' tier is interchangeable with 'basic' but you have both, you could change the second tier to like 'pro' or something.
Thanks for the insight.
You could shorten the description text.
The CTA box is designed like an external paid ad, like it doesn't belong to the site itself
Anything unique to this zip code API? Why shouldn't I just download a zip code data file?
Trying to learn graphic design as I go. Yes, the cta box needs work. adding this to my list. This Zip Code API has additional datasets associated with it, not just a list of zip codes, but also geographical information, census, statistical data, and got IRS, CDC and other datasets in the works (to be available as part of the zip code data model).
Great
looks great to me tbh
Instead of LOGIN and REGISTER buttons in the PRICING section, replace them with just one button labeled TRY TODAY.
The Pricing Boxes are not centered or aligned.
The centered arrow is confusing; it does nothing.
Maybe it's just a personal preference, but I would make the CTA section full-width.
Your logo might need a slight update. When i scroll down, the logo text is too small.
Good luck with your product.
