Roast my SaaS idea

I've been developing a new product, MeTime.Games. I found creating a simple product demo for my landing page challenging due to the effort involved in manual recording and video editing. Plus, I'd need to repeat the process each time I updated my website. Embedding a video often falls short due to restricted quality and limited responsiveness.

I devised a workaround, allowing me to record a session and display it on the site. However, current products like Playwright and rrweb, used for scripting and recording respectively, aren't really designed for this purpose.

I envision a product with this workflow:

  1. Register and set up your project.
  2. Receive a script to embed on your website, similar to Google Analytics.
  3. Start/stop manual recording via a key combination or script the sequence you wish to record.
  4. Once the recording ends, it auto-uploads for review and editing.
  5. To publish a recording, simply do so as a video or as an embedded script obtained from the admin dashboard.

While its primary use would be for website product demos, the video could serve numerous purposes like presentations, sales demos, and more. What are your thoughts? Do you see value in such a product?
