Hey Hackers,
We have finally made our new website live for Typestack.ai
Please roast & also try to be a Lil bit constructive as well.
Need that push to polish the product before the launch day.
Here's the link https://typestack.ai/
I find it a bit hard to understand what your product actually does. I am also not naturally the best at explaining things simply. So a process I stole from the copywriting world that I found helpful was -
Follow a proven landing page playbook (I like this free one by Pedro Cortes https://www.cortes.design/book)
Speak aloud and use google speech-to-text to create the written text. Then edit like hell to remove anything that doesn't contribute to understanding
Show your landing page to anyone (doesn't have to be a domain expert, can be friend or wife). Don't ask them for their opinion, but see if they understand what your product does and can explain it back to you. If they don't, the landing page needs to be clearer.
I was having some minor html/css issues. E.g. your testimonials were looking odd. I think you have your html style set on this element as "overflow: auto" which is causing scrollbars to show all the time. Given there isn't much text I would change this to "overflow: visible" and make sure the text isn't too long.
I can't open questions from your FAQ on the landing page (but I can do it on the pricing page).
Fixed and do let us know if there are any recommendations. Thank you
Yup noticed it. Fixing it right away. Thank you
My impression is that this is a blogging platform, possibly with themes but I'm a little unclear on exactly how 'customizable'.
You could probably be more clear I. The messaging but that'd not really an area I'm great at.
A few technical nitpicks:
You have an overflow issue, page horizontal scrolls on mobile
I would capitalize WordPress
the top Get Started button above the fold and extra text is very small (on mobile) and positioned so at a glance it seems like part of the image
many people suggest social proof above the fold
One more thing....
I found it much easier to create my landing page after I defined an ideal customer profile and wrote the page specifically for them.
Based on your demos, it looks like it's for people that need a content-filled blog up and running as fast as possible (and are less sensitive to the quality / visual design). So it would be worth finding some industries and customer personas where this is particularly important and valuable.
I am going to imagine that a place to look is for 1 person service businesses in high-skill industries where the owner doesn't have the time to write a blog but it is considered as a marker of a reputable website.
Thank you so much for the feedback rob.
This was really insightful, Now working on implementing these and making them better.
I will update you soon.
Cheers!
I would recommend that you unify your company's graphic style, as you are using photographs and illustrations in different styles, which makes the content look a bit disorganized and without a defined personality.
I notice it now frank.
yep redesigning the page & copy as well
Thank you for taking the time and leaving a review.
