Hi, im from the team at https://angeleclipse.io, if you guys could rip apart our landing page it would be much appreciated!
Looks very nicely designed. There is a bit too much content for me (especially with the animated text in the hero), which makes it very likely for the user to simply close the page because of the information overload.
Hey there,
As a founder, I think I would have looked for things not to embarrass myself when cold emailing which is always a tough exercise for me.
I'd honestly give it some room in the landing page -- something around reassuring people about mailing money holders in the industry.
I have left a couple of audio feedback to try to convey how I felt while discovering the landing. You can listen to it here: https://vero-app.vercel.app/page/14bbdce8-75b6-4abb-88b9-15c370e20f78
Hope that helps!
ok here are some notes.
For the first 5 minutes of looking at your landing page, I thought your app was for ange investors or VCs. Then reading further I realized it's for startups to contact Angel investors. Your title says "Automated Cold Email Outreach for Angel Investors". That's confusing! You could just say something like "Get You Startup In Front of the best Angel Investors" something like that.
do you have any social proof you can add? any success stories? That would help create confidence.
You're combining a cold email platform and an investor database. But how is this different from me getting a database of investor emails and then using something like reply.io to contact them? I think you need to find your positioning a little better
I'll keep reading and see if I think of anything else, but I hope that helps!
So I just adjusted the header to something that conveys it better, for social proof we are currently working with 2 startups to beta test the platform and are looking for more, hopefully they get responses and we can get testimonials.
For the last point I think its convenience and pricing power. For example our competitor https://investorscout.co/ which is mainly used for research and then exporting is at base 150 dollars a month, adding in the process of exporting, connecting to reply.io for example, and then building the templates etc it becomes more clear that maybe a all in one platform becomes more convenient.
Nice! new header is much simpler and clearer. I'd also get rid of almost half the text. You want to ideally be able to read through the landing page in 15 - 20 seconds and understand what the offering is.
Yeah will do, will make it more refined. Did my response make a compelling case of why our platform is better than alterantives?
Oh sorry I didn't respond to that part of the comment. I think convenience is a tricky value proposition, because something you think is convenient to you, may have more factors at play for someone else. They might perceive it differently. For example, someone who is already using reply.io (or something similar) for sales outreach will likely be more comfortable using that and will already be paying for it. The value proposition of combining two good things into one isn't always better than just using two individually.
For example, personally - I don't need another email outreach automation tool. Unless you are offering something more - like warm intros or a personal assistant to help me reach out to investors and tailor my message to each investor etc. Otherwise I just want to research good investors to reach out to.
My thought would be if you focus on the one main value proposition of researching and finding the most relevant investors for your startup and do that better than anyone else, that will be a lot more impactful and will make your value proposition and your landing page clearer!
Yeah for sure, well definitely work more on the research end.
