Roast our website

Hey, would really love it if someone could give us feedback on our website and I will happily do that same :)

Thank you in advance!

Maybe just me, but I got annoyed that I couldn't click 'use cases' or 'product'. I realize now that they are only drop-down menus, but I clicked a few times before I realized nothing was going to happen.

Not sure if removing the hover so that a click does something or adding a page there is the solution. Otherwise looks great! Cool product too

Hey! thank you for the feedback! I had one follow up question. We tried creating the dropdown menu like www.stripe.com but did you feel the annoyance even at their site or just ours?

      & thank you!

If i can help out in any way do let me know!

Another thing though, I didn't say it because I wasn't sure how an audience with more developer experience than me sees it, but it took me a while to grasp the benefit of your site. I can see now how this could be useful to me (in the future, I'm not building stuff yet), but I had to scroll down all the way and even then it didn't really click for some reason until I clicked on the first use case page. And then I was like, "oh, passwordless login. Super cool, yeah that could be useful."

It's all there on your main page, and in the images but maybe it's just that the words part that my eyes are skimming is a bit in the weeds ish for a landing page? I think that a word that is really missing and relevant to your product is "easy" or "easier". You say frictionless and all that, with auth everywhere but you don't say, "easier sign up, easier share, easier onboarding."
"no hassle login = happy customers"
Are you really , "Auth APIs to boost user conversion rate" or you the "fastest way to get customers through the door" or the "easiest way for a customer to convert" or "less steps means more customers",

even better is "stop losing customers because of annoying onboarding, we make it easy so you can convert more sales." lol that has the Call to Action and everything. Sorry about all of that but it took me a while to find the right one. Your homepage has the product, yes.... but does it have the pitch? kind of ... if the person is already convinced it has the details

Thanks for that. We actually have heard this from a few more people that it took them a while to fully. understand the website. People were left asking how but that shouldn't be the case. It should be quite easy to understand what we do for a dev because they are our target audience.

Those are are really good questions. Its probably the fastest way to get a customer through the door.

hahah that's alright but I can see what you are trying to say and definitely understand that. I'll definitely try spinning up a few more pages to see if I can make it better or easier to understand for devs.

The animation of a user using the product in Stripe (the second thing when you scroll down, the iPhone) is super useful. That might be why you're really nice hovering images on your homepage didn't do anything for me (until the product clicked). If you could turn them into gifs where these things pop up on someone's phone (or just pop up) and fiestycustomer@frictionless.auth types in their email and clicks the sign up button- that would be awesome. Something about seeing a customer click sign up, seeing that button change animation to depress, that feels real good.
Honestly throw up a "feel good hugging heart emoji" after that and have it be fly to a bin of feel-good heart emojis labeled onboarded customers lol. I know that last bit is perhaps more for advertising campaigns or too over the top or something but if you can do the first bit it would make your product really clear.

Yea, that is true. GIFs are super powerful and could be leveraged in this scenario. Let me see if there is a good way to turn those images into GIFS or add GIFS in the section below where a user scrolls. That might make more sense.

Haha yea, the new trend where people say "Made with <3" lol

That's very interesting, I don't feel the annoyance at their site. I think a big part of it, now that I look deeper, is that the mouse changes to a click style mouse when I hover over the drop-down menus on your site, but the mouse doesn't do that on stripe.com. On strip.com the mouse only changes to the index finger when you're about to click on the actual clickable stuff.

Pretty interesting to me, I'm learning back-end right now so I haven't really considered the front-end minutiae. But yeah, changing when the cursor switches to the clickable state version may be the trick

Oh damn, good pick up!! I didnt even notice that myself!! Just updated it on our site too, so now it should behave the same way. thank you for that!!

Much better! Especially since half are hover and half not. Best of luck on the GIF. If I have a direct-to-consumer product one day I'll keep your product in mind!
