Roast this landing page.

https://www.nocodepayments.dev/

Been working on it for a month, after improvements based on certain feedbacks I think it is ready to get roasted.
🥶don't go soft.

Doesn't look very trustworthy to me, maybe I don't like this specific shade of green, reminds me of monochrome displays from 80s. I would probably look towards a professionally designed template. Didn't mean to be harsh but the payment gateway theme is kind of sensitive and every little detail is important.

    1. 2

I agree. It should have a professional look.

      1. 1

I had some responses regarding this earlier now I think need to fix that on high priority will be making it more neutral.
        Thanks for some direction.

  2. 3

Good work, I suggest adding a good style for the Email template you are using as well.
    Good luck :)

    1. 1

      working on that, thanks.

Overall pretty nice website. I will just talk about the things I dont like.

    1. The rotating text with the blue background in the hero is annoying. I find it hard to read the subhero
    2. Hero images can just be a GIF. 3 images make it hard to understand what you do.
    3. CTA too small and I completely missed it when I first went through your site.4
    4. After the fold, VP 1 should be GIF
    5. Gmail screenshot should be mobile version. So hard to read image

Overall I dont feel like I can trust this website and I don't know why. Maybe because I feel the H1s are a bit all over the place.

    1. 1

Thanks for pointing these out vivek will improve it for sure.
can you explain me little bit more about not trusting need to improve that asap, it would mean a lot🙏

      1. 1

When the images are too small and the value props dont make sense to me, it kinda raises a red flag. I know this isnt fair but it signals that the code might not be so good too.

  4. 2

First off, the font is not suited for the product. Your choice of font "Roboto Mono" is better used for something else. Choose a different font for the headings and something else for the body text.

Second, there are some grammatical errors, which I will show here with a screenshot.

Here are a few more of my thoughts!

Good luck to you in your venture!👍

thanks for pointing them out will remedy them asap.

A lot of things are wrong on the landing page.
To start with, in the hero image on the Right, the email capture field is wrong. Text is overlapping the field box. Second, The image could have been smaller. A lot of empty white space. Maybe crop from the top & pull the text (Register, Embed, accept) up from the bottom.
The blue text on the Bluish background is not that eye catchy. Contrasting colours would have worked wonders.
Spacing throughout the page could have been better. it's unnecessary & inconsistent.
Section where you are giving Free Access by capturing Email, that section could have been designed much better. It could have had more details to encourage people to give out their emails.
Features Features Of Paylink, repeating the features was not required. Waste of real estate.
Under the features, the 4 points, are aligned very poorly. Inconsistent.
FAQ looks empty, a lot of empty space. Maybe add more questions & reduce the space.
The contact us section has no space at all between the text & CTA (Twitter). Again, the entire contact us section could have been designed better.
    Footer is important.

    1. 1

Yeah also think email capture need some work, Thanks for pointing out so many thing, I will be improving them one by one.

      1. 1

Awesome. I do it day in and day out. As I help startups with UI/UX.
If you want to work on it & want me to review it again, then let me know.
Would be glad to help you with building a high-converting website/landing page.

  6. 2

With the current energy prices I can’t afford to roast you bro.

I would say on mobile the screens are near impossible to see.

    Great job tho.

  7. 2

    So much room to improve:

    • Change the typography (use popular fonts that are easy to scan by eyes)
    • Makes the hero section stand out by focusing on your value prop and not "How it works" - also make it easy to digest and clean
    • Talk about the core problem you're solving in a section
    • Add another section to articulate the solution for that problem and why it works, and how it differentiated
    • Then you can talk about how it works in 3steps & features
    • Add social proofs
    • Keep it clean and not too messy with proper spacing

You can also search for "SaaS landing page best practices" to learn more.

    1. 2

Thanks for so many suggestion will check them out.

    Hi there!

    Could Improve -

    • There is a complete Hero section missing above the "3 step process" section. Your first section speaks about the process. I feel there like the outcome of using the paylink could be better conveyed.

    • I would change the Primary font to one of those mordern serif instead of mono.

    • I would avoid using the words like "USP" "Features" etc. on the landing page. It is good for wireframes but a published landing page should never have those words. Trying rephrasing it in a way that it speaks about the features' value.

    • You could use lllustrations instead of screenshots in the cards starting from "Global".

    • I feel like the intro-text before a H2 and input-forms titles are repeating. For example "Email* -- EMAIL" "Features -- Features" etc.

I have been designing landing pages for the past 12 years. And there some things I just can't ignore now.

Sorry if I'm being too direct - If this is valuable, let me know and I will try to be more active in the roasting section as it is fun to look at and evaluate what others are doing.

    1. 1

you really pointed out some problem of the major problem, as I am not a designer so only source for feedback is person like you , thanks man I appreciate it farhan.

  9. 2

The first thing I thought was how this differs from Stripe's Payment Links (https://stripe.com/payments/payment-links). Might be worth adding how this is different in your FAQ section.

    1. 1

You are right need to add it asap.

  10. 2

    What's your business model?

I don't trust to businesses that I can't discover/understand their business model. I'm afraid that they will go out of business.

    1. 1

I just wanted to develop something nice for community and Currently It's free and trying to keep it free as long as possible.

  11. 2

I don't understand what the product does, is it similar to Gumroad?

    1. 2

Also, there is no "Pricing" section, which makes me think that the product doesn't yet exist.

      1. 1

Yeah you can sell product directly like gumroad but it require very minimalist setup and it's main feature is direct payment integration with automated triggers like sms, email and your database update etc. Currently it is free to use, I think I need to mention it clearly.

  12. 2

Too much shit moving around I went cross eyed after two seconds.

    1. 1

fixing that, any particular thing that was bit too much.

  13. 2

I would split the 3 step payment area in half. Have it go side by side with the images on the right side. Make the images as a slider and you can make the images bigger while using the same real estate. And I would change the purple-ish color background to white to make it solid and add more spacing between the cards. But you are getting there. You have the right content, just needs to be reorganized a bit. Good luck.

    1. 1

      Thanks, thinking about it too.

  14. 2

I think I'm looking at the latest version since it's not green.

Some of this copy reads too much like developer text..

"1. Register(Product Upload)" change to "Register your product"

"Embed HTML Link" change to "Add the Paylink snippet to your site"

Also those 1. 2. 3. steps need a lot more spacing around it

    1. 1

these are great suggestions will improve them.

  15. 2

Here is my roast, please don't ban me. :P

    1. Can't that "Get Free Access" button have some breathing room in the overall header section.
    2. Is the email confirmation checkbox that necessary?
    3. Give buttons some breathing room bro.
    1. 2

      Sure will improve that.

  16. 2

Looks nice. But I would suggest to exchange the 1, 2, 3 smileys with green simple icons. Everything is nice designed but these smilies disturb my eyes.

    1. 2

I also think they need to change, will change them asap.

  17. 1

    It’s really buggy on mobile.

  18. 1

Great idea @navdeep_dh. A few suggestions from me that might result in quick wins.

    1. Keep your vertical padding consistent
    2. I'd suggest a sans serif typeface to make it easier to read... the type you have used is more indicative of monospaced fonts which are great for visualising code.
    3. I think there may be a better way to communicate your 1 2 3 steps that make it less busy. What could you do instead of screenshots? Is there a way of simplifying?
    1. 1

currently I am working on adding slides of 3 steps instead of direct screenshot will that work fine, font I will check.

  19. 1

Paylink is a trademarked word. You will end up in a legal problem. Here - https://pay.link

    1. 1

name is not hard and fast necessity will change it if needed.

  20. 1

You really need to make the pricing clearer. Add a pricing page and FAQ.

  21. 1

    From a visual perspective:

    • When opening your site and glancing at it, not scrolling, the first thing I'm interested is what your product's page looks like. I see the screenshots with with the three steps below the images. I try to click on the images to see a higher resolution screenshot, but can't click them to see a higher res screenshot. Maybe make it so clicking these expands the images.
    • The captions below the screenshots are too close the screenshot, there should be a little more space. Same with the "Twitter" icon and the header text above it in the "Contact Us" section towards the bottom.
    • On the how-to-integrate-no-code-payments-in-easy-steps.html page, the number emojis should have a space after them and before the main text.
    • In the features section > Free Service, the "add payment services in your website or [...]" is not capitalized like the others. The Multiple Triggers section body text is missing a space before the opening paren and "successful" is misspelled ("successfull payments captures(in alpha)."

In general you may want to have someone copyedit the page for these grammatical/style issues.

  22. 1

Viewed this on mobile, and the offset dots in the background are making it difficult to read the text in that upper section (overlaps, same color as text).

  23. 1

It doesn’t look like something I would trust for something as important as selling my products and charging my users.

I’m just talking about the mobile version anyway but also the font seems off and the images are way to small on mobile.
