A while back @yutingzhong posted a request asking “is the SEO of this blog (https://localy.ai/best-ai-for-code-generator/) good or not” and no one responded. Since a reply wouldn’t do it justice, I created this post.

But first, whom am I to roast this page? I’ve been working as a B2B SaaS content strategist for 7+ years (6 of those at MarketMuse, an AI content strategy platform). Before that I was a content marketer. So I know a thing or two about SEO and B2B SaaS.

Based on the URL and page title, I assume this page is targeting the phrase “best ai for code generator”. That’s good because it’s clear. But my initial analysis of the search results shows this page does not serve the intent behind the search.

That’s a huge mistake. People searching for this term are looking for a comparison, but that’s not what this page is offering. Instead it’s trying to convince the reader (and Google) that it’s product is the best.

And it’s not doing a very good job as it only offers a superficial coverage of the subject — nowhere near what’s necessary to compete in the SERPs. That can be seen by the low Content Score and Word Count — both are far away from the suggested targets.

Because it’s not a comparison page, you’ll notice that the subheadings don’t align properly either, which then extends to the content itself. It’s a cascade of errors.

There’s no author to lend any weight to the article, so we can only go by the brand. A quick brand search on Google shows a lack of substantial presence. They’re competing against an online grocer with the same name, creating confusion.

So it’s going to be hard to convince Google that this page (which doesn’t even offer the comparison that searchers want) is a viable candidate for a top 20 listing.

That lack of authorship is also causing confusion. Your structured data lists localy as both an organization and a person. You should fix this.

Let’s talk about links for a minute.

Other than a link to the app, there’s no other internal linking and absolutely zero links to external sites. The lack of internal links reveals a lack of supporting content. You can see that here — these pages that have a weak semantic relationship with the page being analyzed. You need more content — one page won’t define you as an expert in what makes the best ai for code generator.

There are also some spelling and grammar issues that need to be addressed. A few phrases and sentences could be simplified for the sake of clarity.

The page doesn’t match the intent of the keyword phrase its targeting. It provides superficial coverage of the topic and has no supporting content. Lack of authorship and brand presence in Search is also something that should be addressed.
