Do you use and RSS reader for newsletters? If so, how do you like the experience?
Many newsletters have RSS feeds, but RSS readers aren't purpose-built for a good newsletter reading experience. Is the RSS experience good enough?
I'm helping build an application specifically for newsletters and am looking for opinions on what works and doesn't work in RSS feed readers for newsletters.
I use feedbin currently. works great. it gives you a unique address to sign up for newsletters with, so it works even if there's no rss feed.
Cool, I haven't heard of feedbin before. How do you like the reading experience?
It's pretty good. There a few very slight inconveniences (like on mobile it's too easy to swipe left or right, which navigates away from the current page), but no major problems come to mind.
Great, thanks for the info!
No, I just use Gmail for reading newsletters and I'm not looking for alternate readers.
Cool, gmail definitely still works for emails. Thanks for the feedback.
You're welcome.
Great to know "Most newsletters have RSS feeds"!

i wish i could convert them all to rss. i prefer to read text content on my ereader so really the most important thing would be to have a permalink for each one (built-in or generated by a 3rd-party system).
I recently learned of https://kill-the-newsletter.com/, maybe it's worth checking out.
Are you talking about something like Mailbrew.com? It creates Email digest of RSS feeds and Newsletters (among other sources)

Not exactly. Most newsletters have RSS feeds (such as https://www.flowstate.fm/feed) which allows you to subscribe to a newsletter in your RSS feed reader.
