There may be other Rudy's more (in)famous and shows up on top of the Google search, but Daniel Eugene "Rudy" Ruettiger owns the most inspiring story for a "Rudy."

It is based on a true story of an under-privileged under-built homeless young man's dream of playing football at Notre Dame. How his determination and a little bit of luck allowed him to get on the practice squad and miraculously achieved his dream eventually.
