Run a Film Fest - Landing Page Feedback
My sister and I finally finished my sales site for a new business. I am trying to speed up load time and hope you get the idea of the services as soon as you land there.
Looking for feedback on:
- design - how it looks on mobile and desktop
- load time
- Effective sales page?
- Missing anything?

Rearranging your layout flow a bit:
CTA is fine for the technique; –> THE FREE CLASS STARTS <–
a. Drop the arrows
b. Change the yellow everywhere to a dark color or off-white color.
c. Use the "yellow" only for the buttons and places you want people to click.
d. Change Join FREE 3/5... to "Join Today for a FREE Class".
Get right into your Bio and what you do.
Then explain your product and it's importance.

Sign-up CTA 1 last time
The biggest issue is how much space "CTA" takes up following you around. It's literally screaming at me to sign up and I can't focus on what "you" are providing. That's the main reason people are commenting on it's "spamminess". It's 2020 let's do better. The reason the "spam" techniques work for "Get-Rich Schemes", etc. because it envokes a desire for some type of drastic personal improvement. I don't know how drastic starting a film festival is.
This is really interesting. As an indie filmmaker and indie hacker running a film festival distribution platform (https://www.festivilia.com), I think this is nice. Firstly, I assume you must have really vast knowledge in not just organising award events but in actually running a film festival.
If I decide to sign up for the telecast, I would love some more answers on your background.
Also, the film industry is part of the art world and so everything about it must be very attractive. I will not sign up for your telecast because your website is just sooo bad to look at. No offence. It has to be very virtually appealing. You want to teach people how to organise a film festival including an online film festival, if you see an online film festival that looks like your website, would you submit your film? If your answer is No, then you know your platform needs alot of work!
In call, the idea is ingenious and will love to know how it pans out. Goodluck

Hi, thanks for the questions and interest.
I answered most in the copy of the page. I have created and ran 3 film festivals. 2 live and one online through Roku.
Please also see the photos at the bottom of the page. That is me running 2 festivals I created. There is a bio. Perhaps it should be longer? Yes, I have shot short films (one during a film festival competition). I am also a member of the WGA.
***Also, my film festivals have been supported by studios (WB, 20th Century Fox, etc) and celebrities. See photos at bottom of page. No one else has the background to teach what I can. Or if they do, aren't doing it.)
Really like the idea with helping people create their own film festivals, well done!
Unfortunately I agree with the comments below that I think the design looks a bit "spammy" due to the colour combinations, the countdown and the repetition of the same CTA's pretty much everywhere. I just had a very quick look on the video and I'd highly recommend to use a more discrete environment than ones living area if it's not a vlog style video :)

It looks like something is wrong in your javascript. The page rendering took about 20 seconds (!) to complete.
It looks like you're firing something maybe 100 times in jq-sticky-anything.min.js on line 6772 which outputs 'Timer 3 fired', and there are a lot of layout and rendering events happening as well.
Hard refresh your page with your browser inspector tool open so you can see what's happening.
FYI: It is probably the plugin that makes the signup box sticky.

Honestly it looks kinda spammy. I think it's the colors and then the countdown. These techniques have been used by too many scammers in the past.
Did you watch the video? Yes, it is a technique used by a lot because it works for folks. Hoping it will for me. :o)
