SaaS Builder?

I am in the process of building a SaaS. I know there are some SaaS start kits, but they are either too opinionated (use Stripe - I can't from my country) or still require me to code.

I'd much rather focus on my core business when I need to code not the SaaS back-office. Do you know any platform I can use that takes care of:

  • User management (roles and auth)
  • Payment (Paddle or lemon squeezy)
  • Templates (so I don't need to waste time on landing pages)
  • Nice to have: Blog, email integrations, support.

Much appreciated!

I already checked:

  • Frontegg - no payments.
  • Outseta - no other option other than Stripe.

Can't vouch for it but check out saasbox maybe?

They also use stripe. And I don't really feel like their site is polished (which makes me more hesitant).

      But thanks!

    Check Bettermode.com
We provide user management & templates. You can build apps on top of the platform. We currently positioned ourselves as a community platform, but it is a page builder + CMS + CRM

Yeah I don't get how your positioning works for me. Do you have a guide on how to build a SaaS on top of your platform? I couldn't find something like that.

Good luck - Unfortunately it seems most people who make these things are in countries that take Stripe - would also like to see one with Paddle

Paddle and Lemonsqueezy do work with my country and also include VAT handling which is nice.

Hello, maybe "systeme io" can be the right tool for you ?
Do you want to have only one tool to manage everything or different tools per usage it's ok ?

    1. 1

One tool, why do you think systeme . io is relevant?

      1. 1

I think it should be perfect for your marketing needs in fact.
For user management and payment, maybe Memberstack ? If it's possible to use with anything else than Stripe, I'm not sure.

        1. 1

That's it, I want one platform.

Have a look at bubble.io/templates sounds like this firs your needs.

Has bubble become less of a hassle to learn? I'm a programmer by trade and last time I tried them it was a PITA (compared to retool that was fantastic).

      1. 1

After I figured out how the tool thinks it became easier

Your question is interesting but you missed the main one, what programming language are you looking for?

    1. 2

That's the thing, I don't want to program and use code for those boilerplate functions. I'd even go further and say I want a hosted solution.

I only want to code my own API/business specific product. Not the hooking up to Paddle and such...

      Imagine Shopify, but for SaaS.

      1. 1

Then the closest one is Outseta but works with Stripe only as you mentioned. I also published a small interview with the founder here

        1. 2

Yeah, they seem amazing, but stripe is a no-go (doesn't work with my country and doesn't process VAT correctly)

If you can't use Stripe, you might as well give up, or at least limit yourself to customers in your country.

Can you incorporate in the US using a service similar to Stripe Atlas? That may enable you to use Stripe.

    1. 1

I don't really agree. I do have access to paddle and lemonsqueezy. Why "give up"?, it's a big word!

      1. 1

Yeah, maybe that was a bit strongly worded. There's a lot of trust around Stripe vs. lesser-known providers and people are cautious with their credit cards. Before you explore Paddle too deeply, see if your SaaS is in one of their prohibited or restricted categories. There's a lot they won't touch due to them being the reseller and bearing a lot more risk than a payment gateway. You might find that there's no product like you're describing available that has Paddle integration, which presents an opportunity for an untapped market for you to pivot to.

        1. 1

          Yes, exactly why I'm asking!
Ps there is also lemonsqueezy which I find similar to paddle.

Sorry, but I don't see how a template is of help. I need the backend too.

      1. 1

All of their templates are being coded too!

        1. 1

What? I need all of the functionality I listed in my post. Do those templates include that?

          1. 1

I just talked about templates only
