I'm not too sure about the potential customerbase for this but as far as I can tell there is no nicely packaged, affordable, all-in-one live chat integration solution out there yet (or at least it's stealth).
Twitch has a live chat, Chaturbate has one, YouTube has one for live broadcasts, Reddit has a live chat for RedditTV.
Technically it is very much possible and I'd have the means to turn this into a product but I'm unsure if the problem I'm solving is worth solving and I don't really know how to go about it.
It would be targeted towards user-centric, content-driven platforms, or could also be embedded on virtual meeting platforms (think big conferences).
Again though, I'm not too sure who'd actually want something like this.
Disclaimer: I'm not talking about live chat bots, I'm talking about a live chat widget with which people can interact with each other and comment on a live event.
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts!
Since I don't feel as though this idea is "golden" and "special" I'll dump in my basic business model considerations here for more context:

Hi @zenahr, I would strongly suggest you go through "How to brainstorm great business ideas" by @csallen. No offense, But according to this article, it looks like you have a key and you are searching for the lock.
Now, if you are already in love with this idea,
I would say, validate it first. Test it in different potential communities. Make a landing page, find a channel to market it, and see if you get some results. The best would be if you can get some customers who are ready to pay before launch.
Twilio offers the developer tools to build this so:
Identify your best buyer persona and presell them. These discussions if it's a good idea can last for ages. Let the market answer you.
DM me on Twitter if you need help with that.
If it is easy to build just build some prototype and hit the road; it is always easier to talk to potential customers or investors.
But it looks like it is quite an ambitious project, so having this idea in mind I would spend some time scouting the marketplace, looking at similar tools, and IMAGINING where the best it could fit, could offer an advantage, where it would be welcomed.
news sites... interesting
I had this idea as well. I agree with the other commenters though, try validate this before you build it.
I also had an idea around turning text based chat into a game. One concept would be something like clubhouse, except people type messages instead of using their voice. So you'd have a room where a set of people are allowed to type messages and another set of people just view the messages.
Before you go around to start building it, I'd say: go validate your idea. Figure out who you're building it for.
Try to think about who would need it. Then figure out where they hang out. Go there. Ask questions. If you can't find anyone that wants it, either you dig deeper or build something else.
Ideas are infinite. Time is not. Find something people need. Your life will be easier.
