SaaS onboarding library - looking for recommendations

I am looking to improve onboarding of users in my SaaS application.

By onboarding I mean have them take the first important actions and generally show them around the application.

I am mainly looking for a free library I can integrate myself, but failing that, an inexpensive service.

Are you using one that you recommend? If so, I'd love to hear about it.
