SaaS product screencast creation service. Is there a demand?

#Research
Hi founders.

I am looking to start a new service. I need to understand what the market wants.
So would you pay for a video service to create your SaaS product screencast tutorials for (new) features, onboarding or walk through videos?

Can you tell me more about what the product would do?

What are some alternatives to it today, and how would this be better / different from the alternatives?

Is it closer to a screen-capture tool + basic video editing, like Camtasia, or closer to animations and high level effects such as Adobe After Effects.

So I have a question about the market need first of all. Where have you seen evidence that this is a major pain for people and that they are already paying others to solve it in some way? If you can't find both of those things then I'd say it's likely there isn't really a market for this 😬

You've perhaps already thought about it but how would it differ from similar services offered by Intercom and others? In one of my earlier companies, they used Intercom for tutorials of new features/projects.

The difference is that intercom is the software to store/manage/edit the knowledge bases and features videos.
So I was wondering if there was a service to create walkthrough videos, features and onboarding tutorial videos for SaaS products. Would SaaS founders really pay for the service?

I hope answered your question. What do you think?

Ahhh, sorry I understand now. Yeah I know for a fact that on-boarding is such a pain in the ass for so many SMBs.

A small suggestion: I think a lot of SMBs go through long cycles of onboarding because their product is too complex. Just videos may not be sufficient in some cases but if you could do an interactive-style video, that would be awesome.

i.e. like a graph based structure where the root is the beginning of the tutorial and the different nodes are video tutorials that are presented to the users depending on the situation: for eg. if user hit error Show Video A, if user succeeded Show Video B etc.. Hope that made sense.
