SaaS products are my best employees!

Before writing a comment about my headline, please wait a second. I don't have employees or colleagues. And I don't have any Co-Founders or Co-Workers. This is a story about my little "startup" and how I managing my tasks with SaaS products.

In the last few month I built an app for Solo Travelers, named "ffaroh". The idea came up in my vacation last summer. I took several trains in Europe and discovered beautiful cities at the Mediterranean Sea. Once I arrived in Nice, I got a feeling that I never had before. Being alone in a big city, staying alone in a hotel and nobody is around me. In this kind of situation, you'll have plenty of different options, but I wanted to have an easy solution in my hands.

The idea of "ffaroh", the app for Solo travelers, was born. But I didn't know how to built such a complex app by my own. So I researched a little and got a few ideas for my plan:

The Product

To build an app with an SaaS product, I found a lot of companies but the performance and functions of the apps were terrible. They would be useful for a timer app, but not for a large app with different API connections. My last hope was "flutterflow". It sounded promising. Building apps on Firestore-Backend and Flutter as a coding language.
After testing it for a few hours, I choosed flutterflow for my project. After few weeks of building the app, I published the first version in the app stores of Apple and Google.
The handling was very good and features are enough there. Believe me! If you miss something, add your own code directly in the app on flutterflow.

Content

For the app content I had a big problem. I was alone and nobody will help me to create content for the app. API's are the solution. They're so much API's out there with a good pricing. RapidAPI was very helpful for my research.

User content is also a big point on my list. How do you save data from thousands of clients. I was very lucky that flutterflow has a connection to Firebase. It's SaaS Backend for mobile Apps from Google. The Handling was also very good.

For my blog entries on my website and in the app, I use Wordpress. It's easy and cheap. I also can use the API for the integration in my app. Very nice.

Last but no least, my lovely SaaS product for notes and tasks: NOTION.
