SAAS Subscription billing with Paddle on a RoR app

Colleagues,
I am looking for help and advice on how to set Paddle for subscription billing on a rails app? It seems that paddle docs are quite limited...
Any advice of what to do or not to do? Pitfalls, etc?

      It seems it is the only product that does checkout, billing and taxes all in one. Being able to handle the vat across countries is essential for me. But if I got it wrong and there are other ways of handling this I'll happily stand corrected!
