I am about to bootstrap a part-time side business as a solo founder. As I don't expect lots of revenue in the first months, what are the possibilities to formalize my salaries? I think that some months, I might have zero profit, and some others - enough to grow and thrive.
Do I need to save enough money in advance so that I could pay monthly salaries to myself? Or is it possible to write invoices for my own company and work there as a freelancer? What are the common practices legally when bootstrapping a startup?
I live in Germany and I am planning to found a company with the UG legal form.
Personally I'll recommend you that you should be vigilant and obviously the starting phase won't bring in much of profit but for your own company you should probably write invoices for your own company and work there and draw your own salary as that would be legally perfect and better
