SalesRepo | $400 in first week by leveraging my existing network | End of week 1 report

I’m building SalesRepo.com - GitHub for sales professionals / entrepreneurs

Finding inspiration for your next sales email copy or phone call as a salesperson sucks, you have to scroll through blogs and websites that make you sign up to download their resources. Yuck. Salesrepo is a user generated sales resource platform and job board specifically for sales.

This is the first post of building in public where I will be sharing the highs and lows of building this side project from scratch.

I finished building the very (bad) first version of salesrepo. It 80% works on desktop - mobile is a disaster. Fixing that tomorrow.

One of the ways I want to monetise the platform is though offering my lead generation services. Before I switched career to developer I used to work in sales - outbound saas rep. I got good at lead gen.

I sent this new project of mine to my network on LinkedIn and asked if they wanted to contribute to the platform or help support it by buying my lead gen services. Sold 2 - now at $394MRR 🎉

I’ll be adding lots of features and updating as I go along here. Aiming for $4k MRR by the end of the year.

Also would consider going 50/50 with another developer if anyone is interested and experienced with JavaScript and knows their way around next.js.
