Very interesting! I'm curious what the $1,000 tuition covers if these are peer groups meeting. Presumably there's a facilitator and a physical space involved?

Thanks for that. However, I don't see the part about what the tuition money is covering. I see the facilitators are volunteers, so it's not that. And it's unclear if there's a dedicated physical space for the meetups.
We charge a fee for several reasons:
Meeting Expenses: To ensure the smooth running of our sessions, we allocate a budget to facilitators. This budget is used for various purposes, such as purchasing snacks for meetings and securing suitable meeting spaces.
Swag for Members: We also invest in providing valuable merchandise, or "swag," for all our members. This enhances your overall experience and sense of belonging within our community.
Operational and Marketing Costs: Our organization incurs expenses related to marketing our groups, facilitating training for our dedicated facilitators, and managing the various programs we offer.
We view these groups as a valuable form of education, and believe that the $1000 fee is a reasonable investment compared to other educational opportunities. This program will equip you with invaluable skills that can greatly contribute to the success of your independent hacking business.
Thank you for taking the time to spell that out. It wasn't clear to me that there are "dedicated facilitators" in addition to the volunteers. All for people getting paid for their work :)
I'm interested in just joining or starting a meetup in San Francisco without a tuition FWIW. I think it would be fun to meet once a month and present on updates to lifestyle business projects or talk through new business ideas.
