Saw a Post Recently Comparing Coding, Vibe coding, and AI to Something more Addictive than Gaming

I used to play strategy games around 20 years ago, Age of Empires, StarCraft, Minecraft. My instinct in every single one was the same, never rush units out fast. Build the infrastructure first, economy running, base laid out properly, then everything after that scales on its own.

Today I'm running the exact same playbook at VisionVix. 500+ AI tools built on top of .app domains. Every domain is basically a resource node, every tool a building placed with intention. Deployment pipelines and reusable backend scaffolds came first, not the tools themselves, so once the infrastructure existed the tools started shipping fast, the same way a strong economy in a strategy game lets you outproduce anyone still building base by base.

The instinct was never really about the games. The games were just where I learned it first.

Anyone else notice patterns from something completely unrelated showing up in how you build now?

Cricket taught me patience. You can't force a breakthrough — you set yourself up, wait for the right moment, and then act. I notice the same thing in building: most of the work is invisible preparation before anything looks like progress.
