Science-backed habit building app

I've been thinking about making a habit tracking app for about 3-4 years. Habits are important because they can improve your life, help you reach goals, and make you happier. Good habits make things easier and let you do what matters most, like spending time with family or being creative.

Sadly, many people think building habits is just about willpower, but it's more than that. If you don't have the right tools or understand how habits work, it's hard to change your behavior. In order to successfully change behaviour, we need to learn about the principles of human behavior behind good and bad habits.

For me, setting good habits really has made a massive difference in my life. During the pandemic, I peaked at 95 kgs, but after learning from books like Atomic Habits, Tiny Habits, and The Power of Habit, I got better at fitness. Now I weigh 60 kgs and have kept that weight for one and a half years. I go to the gym and wake up early too. My fitness has improved a great deal, largely thanks to the principles I picked up from these books.

I had trouble making reading a habit. I would read a dozen or so pages, then stop for months. But for about two and a half years, I've read some pages of a book every night. Naval Ravikant's advice helped: "Read what you love until you love to read." I started with Harry Potter and found joy in reading.

I want to make an app that helps people build good habits easily. It will understand the person and their reasons, not just be another checklist app with streaks.

Once, I had a 130-day streak on Apple Fitness. But when I missed one day, they deleted it, and it was hard to start over, I just quit my fitness journey instead. Many habit apps use streaks which don't work well.

My plan is to make an app that uses ideas from these books and research to help people build habits and change their behavior for good.
As AI has become quite advanced these days, I can also use it to help users by looking at their habits, goals, and data. Then, it will give personalized advice. (Though to be clear, AI will be there to help, but this is not an "AI-based habits app", AI is not the main thing)
I've wanted to make this app for a long time. I think I can bring a unique twist in this boring space filled with apps and advice that doesn't work, and build something that can be helpful for anyone.

I want to know your thoughts. In the past, I've made things without checking if there was a market for them first. So this time, I want to get some input before I start.
