Screenshot galleries that show the workflow beat model logos every time

I can tell in two seconds when an AI launch is going to get scrolled past. The gallery is three logos and a glowing orb. GPT badge. Claude badge. "Powered by" strip. Zero frames of a human finishing a job.

Hunters on AI boards are tired. They have seen the model list. They have not seen your workflow.

When I review submissions on EarlyHunt, the galleries that stop me show step one, step two, step three. Input. Messy middle. Output a stranger can judge. Not a brand kit. Not a neural-net wallpaper. A before and after of the actual task.

I used to ship the logo collage too. Felt "AI native." Was lazy. People asked what the product did in the comments because the screenshots never answered. That is on me, not the board.

What I make founders do now, including myself: five frames max. Frame 1 is the starting mess. Frame 2 is the one click or prompt that matters. Frame 3 is the result. If you need a fourth, show the export or the share step. Model names can live in a footnote. They are not the product.

Same pattern shows up when I compare AI rooms on Product Hunt Alternatives. Catalogs reward coverage and badges. Hunter boards reward clarity under a thumb scroll. If your gallery looks like a sponsorship slide, you optimized for the wrong room.

I also ban the fake UI mock that shows a chat bubble saying "Hello! I am your AI assistant." Nobody launches for that. Show the ugly real output. Typos in the sample input are fine. Real work is messy. Clean logos are not proof.

What does your first screenshot prove — that you wrapped a model, or that someone finished work faster?
