When we first started building ScrumBuddy, the plan was harmless: create a lightweight helper for Scrum teams. Better refinement, cleaner backlogs, faster estimates. A friendly sidekick.

Then reality punched us in the face.

It hit us:

Scrum wasn’t the problem.

So we pivoted.
Then pivoted again.
Then burned half the roadmap and rebuilt from scratch.

ScrumBuddy stopped being a “ceremony helper” and became a spec-driven engineering system: the same disciplined workflow elite teams use, but powered and orchestrated by AI.
