A little late but we got our 1st client this past week! I had it in my head it would be months before someone wanted to advertise with us. Well it only took 5.5 weeks!
Great things to come
Congratulations! What's your strategy for growing? The following podcasts by @lynnetye
(creator of Key Values) and @etdev (creator of JapanDev) may be a good ones to listen to for inspiration
thank you for sharing! Biggest strategy, build in public. help candidates and continue to provide value first
Great stuff, Dave. Congrats! π
You're MRR is already higher than mine haha. Any learning you could share from that first 5 month experience?
My goal was 5 mo - managed 1st sale in under 6 weeks...I would say..content content content... blog posts FAQs testimonials any content to get someone to come to your site, you cant have too much. Build a community within your niche. For me I found other niche job boards/ partners to share best practices with. And finally, if you continue to add features/ solutions to your product don't be afraid to charge more for it. For me rather then starting from scratch I used the Wayback Machine to find competitors' 1st packages and mimicked that pricing. Hope these help Lilian!
Thanks a lot for sharing! Very helpful.
Can't wait to see you at $10k π
That is so awesome, Dave! Congratulations π
