So wild to think that:
- 30 days ago this was a domain wasting away on GoDaddy
- 3 weeks ago was just 1 measly blog post with some jobs
- 3 applicants in 3 weeks
4)and today we have delivered 3 high-quality applicants in 1 day
How are you planning to get startups to post a job vs any other job board? What makes them pay you for it?
great question. for starters i ahve 8+ years in the job baord space, so I know it is a bit of a chicken and egg scenario. No seekers will come without jobs and no one will pay without seekers/candidates
Rather than try to use feeds to get backfill and rev share, I noticed the avaialbel sources I couldn't narrow to the target startup size, shape comapnies. So I opted to use my sales brain to manually curate startups here in the US. So, my goal is for now have jobs to get seekers applying and intro myself to Founders and executive teams once I have an applicant whos submitted.
From there My goal is to build a relationship around my quality and transparency of seeker. Yes, there are a ton of places to fins jobs, but my why - the places i used for startup jobs don;t have what i would look for now in my journey as a seasoned startup leader. So, I decided to pay it forward for the dandidates out there like I was 10 years ago.
It will take a long time but, my goal is as I target users looking for these companies first, the companies and paid employers will follow. my goal is 6 months before the first paid employer
