Securify Acquired!

And let's call it a 4th app exit and the 2nd one with @acquiredotcom

the Securify app has been sold to someone in the security field, and officially out of my hands now.

Why sell?

• There was stagnation for a few months at the $400-$500 MRR mark.

• I exhausted my list of major organic channels and some paid channels for marketing.

• Also, it felt like the right time to move on to something else.

App key insights?

App age: around 1 year.

Revenue: The MRR is around 502$.

Marketing: Entire revenue, and user acquisition came from organic channels.

Expenses: The only monthly expense was server cost, which never surpassed $24/month.

Tech stack: Laravel with Blade and MySQL.

Acquisition process?

Like the previous acquisition, the initial process with the @acquiredotcom team and the buyer was smooth and quick, from receiving offers and the Letter of Intent (LOI) to due diligence and signing the App Purchase Agreement (APA).

However, the second part with Escrow wasn't really smooth. It took a few weeks due to long verifications, checks, rejections, and delays. Unfortunately, they still monopolize the market without any real competition.

The whole process took around 3-4 weeks.

Selling price?

I'm not authorized to divulge the exact amount, but it was in the 5 figures range.
