Seeking a comprehensive list of ways to help email newsletter deliverability
I keep seeing newsletters that suggest - move this email from the promotions tab to the primary tab. Wondering if there is a longer list of moves like this for different email clients to help my subscribers get the email where they want it and up my deliverability rates. Thanks.
Just today I signed up for James Clear's Newsletter (author of Atomic Habits) and his welcome email is the best example of this I have ever seen.
Here is what it says:
## Make sure my emails can reach your inbox
Take a few quick steps to ensure my emails are sent to the right place and reach your inbox every time.
Gmail users – Add these emails to your Primary inbox.
Apple mail users – Click on my email address at the top this message (next to the "From" field) and choose “Add to Contacts” or “Add to VIPs.”
Outlook users – Click the banner that says “Click here to download pictures” at the top of this message. Select “Add Sender to Safe Senders list.”
If you use another platform – This page has simple instructions (with screenshots) for several other popular email clients.
