Seeking a marketing partner to grow a live Automotive niche

Hi all šŸ‘‹

I’ve built and launched a pay-as-you-go SaaS called MyCarShowroom. It helps car dealers create clean, professional listing photos in minutes by placing their real car images onto studio-style backgrounds (without altering the vehicle itself).
It’s live, working, and already being used by dealers. I’ve had organic purchases and repeat usage, so I know there’s something here.

Where I’m at:
.Fully built product (frontend + backend running smoothly)
.Pay-as-you-go model (no subscriptions, no accounts)
.Designed specifically for dealers listing on Auto Trader, etc.
.Early traction from cold outreach + SEO

Where I’m struggling:
.I’m not a marketer
.Growth is slow and manual (cold messaging, blog posts, etc.)
.I know this needs proper positioning and distribution to scale

What I’m looking for
.Someone who:
.Enjoys early-stage products
.Has experience in SaaS / growth / niche marketing
.Can help get this in front of car dealers at scale
.Ideally UK-focused (but not essential)

I’m open to:
.Revenue share
.Partnership
.Equity discussion if it makes sense

Why I think this has potential
.Dealers need better photos but don’t want complexity
.No subscription = low friction to try
.Fast turnaround = fits their workflow
.Already seeing users come back after trying it
.I feel like I’ve done the hard part (building it), but now it needs someone who .can really push it forward.

If this sounds interesting, drop a comment or DM šŸ‘

Love this idea and that you know where your weaknesses are. I happen to have some marketing chops so I'll take a few days to think about how I could help. not sure yet. But love your action. Go get it.

      Hey, thanks for thatšŸ‘šŸ˜€

This sounds like a really promising tool! I love that it’s simple, pay-as-you-go, and already showing repeat usage, which proves there is real demand. I have experience in SaaS growth and niche marketing and would be interested in exploring ways to help get MyCarShowroom in front of more dealers at scale. I am happy to discuss partnership, revenue share, or other arrangements that make sense. DM me and we can chat!

Hiya, sounds interesting, thanks. Now I'm juggling new job, time is scarce. Gonna have to reassess things

This is a solid problem to have, working product but slow growth. feels like the challenge isn’t just marketing, but getting in front of the right dealers at the right moment. Curious what’s worked best so far from your outreach?

    1. 1

Thanks HivinšŸ‘ So far I’ve mainly been doing direct outreach, finding dealer listings (Facebook Marketplace, etc.) taking one of their cars, running it through my tool, and showing them what their listing could look like.

I’ve reached out to around 30 smaller dealers so far and have one returning user from that, plus a few more emails sent recently.

It’s early days, but it seems to land much better when they see their own car improved which gets good feedback - even if they haven't took it further yet. Just need to get it in front of more of the right dealers.

Also still figuring out my email deliverability, as not sure all of them are even hitting inbox.

Hi Bibz, I must say this is a solid concept, especially since you’re already seeing repeat usage, that’s usually a strong signal the core value is there.

From what you described, it sounds like the main bottleneck isn’t the product but how it’s being positioned and how users move from first visit to actually paying.

With tools like this, especially targeting car dealers, small adjustments in how the value is presented and how quickly they see results can have a big impact on conversions, even before scaling traffic.

Curious, when dealers land on your page, what does that first experience look like, and where do you notice the biggest drop-off before they pay? I might be able to suggest a few improvements or quick tests.

    1. 1

Thanks for thatšŸ‘ At the moment the bigger issue is actually getting dealers onto the site in the first place rather than drop-off. It’s still relatively new so traffic is low.

I’m more focused on finding the right channels and ways to get it in front of dealers consistently.

Would be interested to hear how you’d approach that side of it.

      1. 1

That makes sense, especially at this stage. If traffic is still low, then the priority is less about optimizing and more about getting in front of the right dealers consistently.

For something like this, I wouldn’t go too broad. I’d focus on where car dealers are already active and reachable: marketplaces like Auto Trader, dealer directories, and even platforms where they’re listing cars daily.

One approach I’ve seen work well is combining direct outreach with a very clear before and after demonstration, showing exactly how their current listing photos look versus the upgraded version. That tends to get attention quickly because the value is immediately visible.

From there, it’s about building a repeatable system, not just one-off outreach.

Curious, what channels have you tried so far that brought in your current users?

  5. 1

This is a solid use case. The fact that you’re already getting organic purchases and repeat usage says a lot, you’ve clearly built something people actually want.

You’re right that at this stage, it’s less about building and more about positioning + distribution. Especially with a niche like car dealers, the right channels and messaging can make a huge difference quickly.

I’m not on the dev side, but I focus on growth (user acquisition, positioning, early traction), helping products get in front of the right users and convert, not just drive traffic.

For something like this, I’d be looking at where dealers already hang out (forums, niche communities, even Reddit) and building traction from there rather than relying only on cold outreach.

Feels like there’s strong potential here with the right distribution behind it.

Happy to share a few ideas or take a closer look if that’s useful šŸ‘

    1. 1

Appreciate that , yes that’s exactly where I’m at with it. Product working, just needs getting in front of the right dealers.

Would be interested to hear a few of your ideas, especially around where you think dealers actually hang out and how you’d approach themšŸ‘

      1. 1

That makes sense, you’ve already got the hard part done with a working product + real users.

If I were focusing purely on Reddit for this, I’d look at where independent dealers and sellers are already talking about selling cars, improving listings, or margins, not just general marketing spaces.

Subreddits around flipping, used cars, detailing, and side hustles tend to have a lot of people either dealing cars directly or close to that space. That’s usually where the real traction comes from.

In terms of approach, I wouldn’t position it as a tool upfront. What tends to work much better is outcome-driven posts, things like before/after listing images or showing how presentation impacts clicks and interest.

Since your product is visual, that’s a big advantage. Those kinds of posts naturally get attention and lead to people asking how it was done.

Done right, Reddit can turn into a pretty consistent acquisition channel for something like this.

If you want, I can map out a more concrete Reddit approach specifically for your product šŸ‘

        1. 1

Thanks for thatšŸ‘ That makes a lot of sense, especially leading with the outcome rather than the tool itself. That’s similar to what’s been working with the few i've outreached to.

Would be good to see how you’d structure that on Reddit specifically 'types of posts, where to post, etc.' if you’ve got something in mind.

The answer is agentic AI which is all the rage atm. I essentially build the AI agents for you. Claude Anthropic and Gemini's Google LLM ive found work best. Essentially we run a professional, comprehensive analyis report on your business which will clearly outline not only your ICP but also your ICP segments. For example, we drill down on what type's of car dealerships want your online dealership most? Luxury cars, Large Car Dealerships. For example - landing one prominent, large car dealership is going to spend so much more money on your service yet it's cost you exactly the same in marketing expenditure as what it's cost you to find a small dealership who lists with you once every year. We then set your AI agent for warming up your domain so the cold call emails to these ICPs doesn't reach their spam folder. Automated email sequencing can be set up as well. I think you have a great product. Send me a DM and we can chat.

      Appreciate the message šŸ‘
I’m definitely interested in growth help, but I’m more focused on someone who can get hands on with distribution and dealer acquisition rather than just analysis/automation.
Out of interest, have you worked with automotive or dealer focused products before? Thanks

      1. 1

No. I haven't worked with automotive products before. My understanding is you want to get this in front of car dealerships at scale. You either get your calendar booked, or you train someone else to close sales on your behalf.

Hey Bibz, really cool product! One quick thought from a UX perspective: highlighting the value of ā€œbetter photos, faster workflowā€ right in the first view and simplifying the first upload could help new dealers understand and act instantly. I’d be happy to sketch a few visual tweaks that make the process more intuitive and boost repeat usage.

    1. 1

Brilliant suggestions, thanks. I'm trying to guide new users to the camera guide page first but lacking that help for first upload. Would love to see a visual sketch of what you have in mind.

      1. 1

thanks! šŸ˜„ I’ve got a few quick ideas for guiding first-time users to the camera guide and first upload. I’m a bit sleepy now, but we can continue on WhatsApp or Telegram if you want — easier to share visuals there. Here’s my number: +2349139939323
