Seeking a Toronto-based CTO for a startup

Marvonnay is a sophistication club that develops our client’s inner-connoisseur. Our team of sommeliers, art curators, fashion designers etc. assist elevating taste so our clients can live life... as it was intended. We are building an online platform where a client can pick up culture topic (eg. Coffee), watch videos (eg. Columbian vs. Indonesian Coffee), receive the product (eg. 1 week of Columbia, Indonesia, Ethiopia and Vietnam coffee) meet the people (eg. Virtual Events) and travel (eg. About The Journey
Marvonnay has existed since 2014 however it was during 2020 the business plan was finalized. We have launched a complimentary-MVP with great reviews. Building off those reviews and the insights of a 400-person survey, we are about to launch a paid-MVP followed by a seed-funding initiative.

Our team consists of the worlds best cultural connoisseurs eg. (Master Sommelier for Wine). We are seeking technology expertise to handle building our platform’s functionality and spearhead our Big-Data/ML initiatives.

About The Role
We are seeking a CTO that is Toronto based (non-negotiable) with expertise building content-based websites, subscription box services, networking apps and Big-Data/ML product recommendation algorithms. It’s a long list however if more than 1 is ticked off, I’d love to hear from you. The compensation is deferred payment with a potential debt for equity swap.
