Seeking Dedicated Developer for Project RoboReimburse

Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Moritz, and I’m reaching out to the community with a project I’ve poured my heart and soul into over the past year: RoboReimburse (www.roboreimburse.com/en).

What is RoboReimburse?

RoboReimburse is designed to streamline and automate the process of filing reimbursement claims for online shops and fulfillment service providers with DHL and other shipping carriers. By leveraging a browser extension, we facilitate the submission of investigation requests through DHL’s forms. Additionally, our service tracks shipments to identify lost packages, ensuring that our clients don't overlook any potential reimbursement claims.

The Journey So Far

Over the last year, I’ve dedicated about six months to developing RoboReimburse. We had an initial client who made an upfront payment (595,-€) and several other interested companies showing promising interest. Unfortunately, my developer had to leave the project after five months due to personal reasons, which has temporarily halted our progress.

Tech Stack

For those interested in the technical details, here’s what we’re working with:

  • Backend: PHP (Laravel framework)
  • Database: MySQL
  • Frontend: React/TypeScript (via Inertia.js)
  • CSS: Tailwind
  • Hosting: Hetzner, managed by Laravel Forge
  • Scrapers: TypeScript (using Playwright)

I'm not a software developer. It may be possible that it is easier to complete this project by starting from scratch. We could try to redefine the app, if it's possible to make it simpler. I fear though that the web app and the browser extension are both required.

Why Partner Up?

I firmly believe that with a functional prototype, we can secure more clients and funding. There’s clear potential here, evidenced by the initial client and other interested companies. I’m looking for a dedicated developer who can bring this project to life and help take it to the next level. If you have experience with the tech stack and are passionate about solving real-world problems, I’d love to hear from you.

Here are the current open development issues:

  1. Shopify App: My former partner developed a Shopify app, but it hasn't been accepted by the Shopify development team. They demand some changes to the app.
  2. Browser Extension: The browser extension doesn't exist yet. We have previously tried to fill out the DHL form with a bot, but we haven't been able to get around DHL's invisible captcha on that page. This mechanism has to be replaced with a browser extension.
  3. Tracking of client's orders to make sure we catch all the packages that went missing with the potential for reimbursement
  4. Future Integrations: Going forward, we will also have to integrate other shipment services and other online shop systems.

What’s in it for You?

  • The opportunity to work on a project with proven market interest as a co-founder.
  • To be honest, it's quite some work, so I'm willing to share half of the equity of the project if you're the right person for the project.
  • Flexibility in terms of work hours and location.
  • The chance to shape the future of RoboReimburse and make a significant impact.
  • If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please feel free to reach out to me directly or comment below. Let’s discuss how we can collaborate and turn RoboReimburse into a success story together.

Looking forward to connecting with potential partners!

Best,
Moritz
