Hey all đź‘‹
I’m working on a side project in the UK used-car space and would really appreciate candid feedback on the problem and positioning - not testing for users or sales.
Observation / problem I keep seeing:
When people are buying a used car in the UK, there’s lots of official data available (MOT status, mileage history, vehicle details, tax, etc.), but most of it sits as separate tables or raw records that don’t help people reason about a purchase. Basic checks tell you what’s in the record; they don’t help you interpret patterns or emerging risks in a practical way.
There’s also a whole ecosystem of check services that provide 80+ data points - stolen cars, write-offs, finance, ownership history but buyers still tell me they struggle to:
weigh up signals that matter
understand what’s likely to need attention soon
compare one car vs another in a way that feels actionable
What I’ve built (initial version) is a site that starts with those foundational checks and attempts to present them in a way that’s easier to reason about for someone deciding what to pay or whether to pursue a car. The emphasis is on clarity and actionability rather than raw data dumps.

I’m validating the problem and whether this framing makes sense.
Would really value feedback on:
Does the problem feel familiar / real?
Is the value proposition clear within a few seconds of looking?
Does it feel meaningfully different from existing services that just list raw data?
What feels confusing, underexplained, or unnecessary?
Would you ever pay for something like this, and why / why not?
Appreciate honest, blunt thoughts -happy to return feedback on things you’re working on too 🙏
Congrats on the launch 👏
quick question — did you already set any hard limits on LLM/API spend?
I’ve seen a few indie AI apps get hit by agent loops early on.
