Hello Indie Hackers!
My name is David Jung, and my friends and I developed a virtual world called HubWorld for hosting and joining Meetup events for social networking.
As you know, covid has made Eventbrite/Meetup-based physical gatherings impossible, and zoom-alternatives have not been great as people are really tired of zoom for social networking.
So as avid Meetup-ers, we decided to create a browser-based virtual world that simulates real life social conversations in a virtual space. We achieve this through a proximity voice/video chat system, where voice/video is triggered only when avatars move and are "physically" near each other.
More than me explaining on and on, check it out at https://myhubworld.com
HubWorld is built through the Unity Engine.
