I've been simulated 800 different day-trading models based on some of my hypothesis and found the best one having an average daily (yes, daily) return of 1.97%. Median daily return is 1.7%, showing stability in the data. This indicates there are no anomalies present (no single day with great performance which would skew the data). Data is normal with a P-Value of .059. Sample size is 21 days (70 stocks). I'd like to sample more, but working without automation has almost been a full-time job. Indications are good that observed performance is likely to continue.
The program we build should have the functionality to monitor stocks and execute buy and sell orders based on rules that I set, with the ability to change the rules at any time.
