Seeking product feedback - Textalysis
Textalysis - Business Intelligence from text
This is a first attempt at creating a tool based on sentiment analysis. I will not give a long explanation here as the product site is supposed to convey the message. This is still a work in progress, so am seeking initial feedback and further use cases or even interest in collaboration on business side.
This feels like a general purpose tool, but I'm not sure how/when/why I would use it. The copy on your landing page focuses more on telling me how it works than why I should use it. It should be the other way around. Get me interested first, then give me the details.
It might help to identify some specific target customers who could really benefit from this. To find out who, you'll have to do a lot of research and/or talking to customers.
Try to understand what they care about most — is it finding new leads for their business? reducing their churn? increasing their readership? raising their prices? improving conversion rates? Every business has some goal they're really trying to move the needle on, and that goal dictates the tasks they perform, and some of those tasks may be greatly aided by your tool. In addition, once you identify those tasks, you can tweak your tool to do a better job addressing them specifically.
But as-is, I think you're asking visitors to do a lot of this thinking themselves, to be creative and figure out how to use Textalysis on their own. And most of us are too lazy to do that. :-D
