My name is Madhukar and I am currently working on https://querysimple.com

Its a tool that lets you transform data directly in your PostgreSQL database with just SQL skills.

If you run any sort of analytics for your application you have at least two sources of data

1. Your application DB and
2. Event analytics tools such as Amplitude etc

And typically to draw insights you'd bring both this data into some sort of a DB (in my case I bring it into PostgreSQL DB) and then you write SQL queries. These queries are those that help you transform (join/label/clean data) the data to prepare it for analysis.

For example: when I wanted to understand the engagement I wrote a query and basically it used data from my application db (PostgreSQL DB) and Amplitude (event analytics). But this query needs to run continuously on newer data, this is where the tool that I wrote comes into picture.

With Querysimple, I just concentrate on writing the SQL queries and all of the below is taken care by the tool

1. Creation of table to store the results of the select query
2. Running the query at a set frequency and keeping the data in sync
3. Error and status updates when thing s go wrong

So this way I don't have to use messy cron jobs or take care of error reporting every single time I have to write a transformation job.

I am looking for design partners that want to try the tool and also for honest feedback. Basically just looking to learn from my experience.
