Seeking Tech Founder - Drone Defence Project

Hello!

My name is Spencer, I am ex-military turned VC, turned serial SaaS acquirer and along with my partner want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of frontline troops in Ukraine and other conflict zones around the world.

We are seeking a technical co-founder to join us in this goal through providing frontline troops with cutting edge tech that they actually need. Our objective isn't to develop the next Predator Drone; instead, we are dedicated to creating solutions that solve immediate problems felt at the individual and squad level.

Drones are increasingly becoming a bigger part in the modern battlefield, we have really seen this trend accelerate due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and don't see this trend slowing anytime soon. Currently, troops are using modified civilian drones that were designed for racing, Oil & Gas, and farming tasks. We want to develop truly bespoke solutions, taking direct feedback from the soldiers on the ground and delivering drones with capabilities that make a substantive difference for them.

If you have hands-on experience with drone hardware components, including motors, ESCs, flight controllers, and sensors. Proficiency in hardware-related coding languages such as C, C++, and Python along with an understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C). Please reach out to me!

Sounds like a great project, however it's completely out of my scope of expertise. Best of luck!

This sounds really interesting and is a very specialized skillset. I have a computer science degree, know c/c++, and am looking for a project like this but I’ll be honest, I don’t have a lot of micro-controller experience (some basic raspberry pi/breadboard experience is all). I would love to learn more though so hit me up if you need a hand.

You definitely know more than me! Do you have twitter or LinkedIn?

Email and LinkedIn request sent. Looking forward to talking more.

Sadly I'm not free for this, but it does look like a very interesting project. Good luck!
