Hi everyone I am the founder of Windmill, a startup for local farm distribution, and I'm looking for someone skilled on mobile app development!
Throwing this out there... for an MVP you don't need a mobile app. A website optimised for mobile would do this and be quicker to get to market. You would also not to have muck about with app store / play store etc.
Hey there! You mentioned local, but did not mention which corner of the world you are in (Tucson, Arizona).
Search engines didn't get me far in the search for 'windmill' (something to consider as far as branding goes), would you have more details on how this service would enable farmers to distribute 24/7 - and why they would find it valuable?
Here’s the landing page I created. https://mailchi.mp/4a11492c6ae6/windforlocal
But this service would be very important because most local farmers sell their product 3 days out of the week at the farmers markets. With this service they would be able to distribute their products 24/7. This would really help local farmers. Due to the pandemic farmers markets are about to get shut down which is why I want to expedite this process.
Great execution, thank you for sharing the details. I can confirm industry giants are actively looking into this space, so there is certainly potential there!
What would the technical cofounder need to take on for this to become successful?
I want them to be skilled in IOS development and Android development. I am also learning the tools used for mobile app development but I would like someone to be help with this process. I really want to have an mvp before the markets close so farmers can have something to rely on.
The MVP shouldn't be as much of an issue (plenty of template webstores out there); are there any existing plans for marketing to customers (assuming farmers are easy to reach)?
Yes there are plans for marketing to customers. Are you interested?
