Decision Making is one out of three life skills and we are building a tool that can be used with either train-the-trainer or educators material. Happy to share our thoughts and co-create.
Everything we do and support needs the following three ethical ground rules to follow: create no addication, no data harvest and no influence.
create no addication - so people are not allowed to like it/like to use it or you need to destory it
no data harvest - so your not allowed to know me and create any meaniful connection with me or do something that is customised to me
Doing something and aiming for good might not be your passion, but it is certainly ours https://www.ode.systems/blog/26-our-ethical-statement-to-you
This isn't social enginerring?/ swaying a decision process?
The process is simple: the user has full ownership of the decision. He/she+ can decide whom they trust, want to open up to or even will integrate in the decision process.
Our approach is only saying that we will not interfere and we will not harvest or sell any data to gain another revenue driver. With the next steps we think along the options to support the users as many of our interviewed partners asked us to have learnings form the decision history.
We simply wanted to avoid that content of marketers are influencing within the decision process or even altering it to their means - not to talk about political parties or alike.

To answer your link as well. It is proven that you become better if you have the counter balance available but we are working on the process to have it visible not to delete it. Transparency is one of the core drivers of better decisions, don't you think?
I am happy to invite you to co-create with us.
