I'm currently building a feedback tool called ruttl that makes it super easy to collect and share visual feedback on websites, web pages, PDFs, and images. It lets you add textual comments, work with other team members, and even edit CSS code to show changes that you want to make.

Currently working on Extensionfy, a nocode browser extension builder : )

    1. 2

I feel this can be a big thing :D
I worked on a project idea related to extensions, and I felt the pain

      1. 1

        Hopefully haha
Yes, browser extension development can be challenging at times (especially the beginning), but it’s fun!

    2. 1

I can see how that can be beneficial. Good luck!

A bit slow (still waiting to see if I'm right on No1), but it's a nice idea! - Why not allow keyboard use for the input?

      1. 1

Thanks for the feedback. i was planning to make a more "hangman" type of game so I've disabled it but if this concept sticks on, I'll re-enable it.

I started a couple months ago without any audience and I was lucky enough to get some subscribers so I would say it is going pretty well.

Sure, IG reel resolution is the same as TikTok + all social media resolutions are supported. You can switch between them in the settings sidebar.

I built StartupBolt with inspiration from the best boilerplates available in 2024, and I’m thrilled by the incredible response from customers. I’m hopeful it continues to thrive, helping many others save time, streamline their work, and generate income—just as it has for me.

  24. 2

I have no site yet but I'm working on a financial analysis that I think I may offer as a service.

Insiders (think CEOs, CFOs, etc.) of public companies need to file forms with the SEC when they purchase or sell stock on the open market. I built a dataset of all historical filings, and updating this on ongoing basis, and am analyzing them to see who the best inside purchasers of all time are, current best purchasers, and to see who is making the biggest bet (i.e. seems to have the most conviction in their purchases).

Idea is to eventually offer this as a micro-Saas product but will start as a service or subscription to weekly analysis.

Please let me know any thoughts, advice, or feedback!

Lately, I've been working on jobly.so, a recruitment platform for Notion. I've been taking a break from dev work this week and trying to focus on early feedback and marketing — I'd love it if you could take a look and give me some feedback!

I am currently into this space trying to ease the pain of applying to jobs with eazyapply.com

How have you been marketing this?

      1. 2

Hey! They look really cool. I've been building up a cold outreach list which I'm planning to start digging into. Otherwise trying twitter and IH but not seeing much traction (but I need to put in more effort). How about yourself? I'm especially interested since we seem to operate with a similar target user.

        1. 1

Yeah, I have been trying reddit mostly. It's right now in cold reach phase, still looking for first users.

Just checked SuperSocial, it's really cool!

On my end, along with two friends, we just lunched the first version of our product!
It's a no-code videochat player and the cool thing about it -besides no code needed- is that it's fully customizable. You can add your logo, colors and font! It's white labeled so there's no Markee brand anywhere.

Hey Idan, SuperSocial looks really cool, thanks for sharing!

As an indie iOS/watchOS/macOS developer, I'm currently building two apps:

    • Zenitizer: An elegant and minimal meditation timer + tracker app that is deeply integrated into Apple's OSes and platforms
    • Latermator: A smart scheduling companion app for Apple Reminders that allows quickly and systematically postponing (over)due tasks.

You can start from medium and linkedin, these both are best platforms for self promotion.

I too write on medium, linkedin and on my website
    I am getting good results.

    1. 1

You could also repurpose the content from medium to linkedin to the website (repurposing is better than copy paste haha). It's also best to include a link to your website within your content, helps with SEO and backlinking.

As of now created a chrome extension for previewing tweets in Notion: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/notion-tweet-preview/bmngbhaoelgififonanjdadhmomclcfo

    1. 1

What social media platforms will it cover?

      1. 1

Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook are tested by me. Instagram also can be covered.

        1. 1

Would it be similar to Later?

          1. 1

I think Later is not based on Notion it runs with its own database for content.

But mine will be based on Notion where users manage their content.

Here is a template I put up on Gumroad to get an idea about what I'm saying: https://basharath.gumroad.com/l/tweet-manager

            1. 1

Oh I get it now, when do you plan to release the MVP ?

              1. 1

I have been using it for a while for my socials but in a different mode.
I have been working on different things, I'm planning how to implement it for public usage.

                1. 1

It seems interesting, keep us updated when it goes public! Good luck~

Does it give all the subscribed users the same list of leads every month?

      1. 1

        Thanks for the question, @NazuJam!

Yes, all subscribed users receive the same list, but there are many different types of users (companies offering services as well as investors) across a span of geographic regions.

        1. 2

I see. How many leads do you send per month? Also, do you search and compile the contacts of these leads manually?

          1. 1

            Approximately 550-600 per month.
Yes, the leads are from publicly available sources, which are manually researched, aggregated and validated (by humans :) ).

            Thanks again for the questions!

            1. 2

I see, thanks for the details and all the best!

I had been using Mailchimp for my contact list but wasn't really sending any emails out despite having an organically grown email list. 1. 1

Thanks @NazuJam! That's an interesting idea. I do provide a description of why I like the email and comments on any interesting content or strategies being used. My idea was to give away the key learnings and feedback in the hope of driving enough traffic to the site to also attract advertisers. I like your idea, though. Will have to think about how that would work.

I completely agree with your comments, you were able to find images and video on the site but since one of our customer completely copied the ui we decided to put them out from the web site. Design of the end user and management ui is one of the key factors of an live auction streaming platform, it has to be handy, easy. That's the reason we put out the images and video but we're working on a lightweight quick informal video.

        1. 1

Why don't you send that customer a DMCA takedown notice, because anything that's originally on your website (your own content including images and text) is copyrighted by default. Easiest way to win over copyrighters.

          1. 2

That was exactly what we did. We also had an NDA. In the end they have changed the ui. Now our website has the related videos.

        2. 1

seems like you're saying a customer copied your auction page ui so you're putting the auction behind a sign up page now

awesome, looking forward to a video!

How are you progressing in the validation stage? Where are you looking for early customers?

      1. 1

Hi, nice to see others in the same space.
Very cool product, job applications can be so long and overly complicated sometimes.

For now it is going slow, I have been posting about it on different platforms (here, product hunt, reddit) with various level of feedbacks. I am just getting feedbacks on the idea for now, not really looking for customers yet.
What about you ? How do you handle this part ?

        1. 1

          Thanks Alex!

I have been trying cold outreach mostly on reddit. It hasn't converted yet.

I am also in the validation stage whilst looking for some beta users - done that via talking to users on reddit and also observing several extensions in this space.

Since outright promotion or feedback is difficult, trying to think of a content strategy that can compliment here.

          1. 2

Yeah content creation might be the good way to go. I might want to go that way also but I'm wondering if I'll have enough remaining time to work on the actual product since content creation can be quite time consuming.

            1. 1

              Yeah, I can get it.
Although, I am currently on the other spectrum, thinking of what minimal stuff I can code up to use for marketing.

              1. 1

Yeah I also agree with that. Hard to find the right balance of what to code and how much marketing doing without anything actually ready.

We're a curated graphic design gig marketplace taking on Fiverr, UpWork + 99Designs.

The existing platforms aren't built for professional designers. They encourage you to lower your prices in order to win work and are flooded with low-quality designers + cheap clients.

We will be the platform that connects businesses to quality designers.

    1. 1

There are designers charging 500 and even 1000 for some designs on Fiverr. Let alone UpWork or 99Designs where I've paid more than 3K for some designs.

Are you sure you did your research carefully without misleading yourself?

      1. 1

There are a few reasons why I believe there's room for us in the market.

        • While there are some good designers on these platforms, the vast majority of them are not. The fee structure isn't appealing to them and the clients tend to underpay.

        • The #1 issue companies have with Fiverr or UpWork is not knowing who the best candidate is for the work. We match you to designers so they don't need to guess.

        • The platforms aren't created specifically for the design process. Super will be.

Would love to hear your thoughts! ✌️

  156. 1

Hey Idan, interesting product, I am probably in your target group ;)

One question: Why do you require first name, last name, username and and email all in separate fields? Really makes the sign up rather demotivating (for little reason maybe?) - I would see whether you can't make that form look smaller while still getting all the info you really need.
