Hi Indie Hackers.
I have partnered up with someone to start a business that helps people who want to sell or lease their properties without involving estate agents.
We Started this business because we saw how people advertised their properties and how 90% of the property photos were taken with a cellphone. Basically the photos did the property no justice.
So we decided to sell our services to these sellers for a fee. The question I have is how can we make the photos available to the seller in order for the photos to be approved without the seller taking the images and using them without paying? Most people watermark their images, however in my country the seller will still use a water marked image when advertising.
Does anyone have any ideas they are happy to share?
P.S. Thanks for your input on this.
We will use our own inhouse photographer and editors for the shoots so in order to get approval on the work done we will have to let the customer view the pics.
Is there a way to give them access to a cloud storage for a limited time as well as restrict their access to a view only type of access?
Showing them substandard images wont work to well because we are selling our ability to create high class material. We want them to get a full taste of what they are buying, that way disputes are minimized.
watermark are like duct tape, you didn't use enough. (size, opacity, repitition...)
Are you phisically going to take new photos or just post processing the ones they took?
You can also use small resolution or colour limit... or just crop a small section of the photo
like is that sample photos should how good you make them? you can just show generic samples not specific to the user..
Basically ask for pay before service I guess
